This is my favorite salon and Priscilla is the best hair dresser I’ve been to! I went in to get some things fixed that a previous hairdresser did and she knew exactly what to do to get what I wanted. I have had a hard time finding the right hair dresser and was nervous but Priscilla made me feel comfortable and I LOVE the results! I had an awesome experience; Studio Be has a way of doing things that is unique to them and creates a really cool environment. She was so kind, personable, and amazing at her job! I am so happy and I would highly recommend!

Honestly, I really loved coming to the salon but now it’s a dreaded experience. I don’t like how my hair looked when leaving the salon. And there never seems to be enough time for what you’re paying for. All I came in for was a fresh cut. I was asked if I wanted additional services, the extra scalp massage sounded great and was worth every penny. I was asked two/three times to confirm and I said “if you have time” “ yes , I’d love to. “ She said she had the time for the massage. When it came towards the end, she realized my hair was really thick and when cutting it wet then dry, it didn’t look good without any thinning out. She informed me while blow drying that she wouldn’t have time to style my hair, which I feel like is half the fun of getting your hair done at the salon, to leave looking great and having a great hair day. Not leaving wanting to put it in a hair tie because it’s still damp in some places and not sitting right. I said okay, when she said she didn’t have time for a style. But then when she asked me to feel my hair and look over the finished product, I said my hair was too thick and heavy on the bottom (felt like a hair cut i had as a teenager with huge flips because it was too thick) and she agreed but seemed frustrated because she now had to ask someone else to help with her next client. The whole time thinning my hair, she was nice enough but people can tell when they’re no longer wanted in your chair, after being super friendly for our cut. So overall, I felt bad that I asked to even get my hair thinned out so it wasn’t so thick and frizzy on the ends because I know I couldn’t fix that myself at home and then left feeling like $60 (more with tip, because I know this is a service) on a hair cut that didn’t look completely clean, well cut or styled felt horrible. I loved the scalp massage, but I live over 45 min away, and don’t have time to drive back that way when it should have been right the first time. I hope they don’t keep upselling when they don’t have the time for it. I think with those extra minutes I could have gotten a decent look when leaving the salon. Instead of wanting to hide my hair in a ponytail, embarrassed to go to the store after. It’s not my responsibility as a customer to know their schedule and timeline and I was just super bummed as it’s hard for new moms to go out and do something nice for themselves like get a decent hair cut and style.

My stylist Kayla Riley was honestly the best haircut I’ve had in a very long time. My biggest issue when getting my hair done is the massive stress that someone is judging my lifestyle and how I take care of my hair. She did nothing of the sort and even taught me things about my hair that I’ve never known. She’s always super professional, communicative and gives great scalp massages. The store itself was so up to bar with her skills too, super clean, super tidy, super cozy. I’m never getting my hair done anywhere else. I also use the anti frizz shampoo they recommended me and it is my favorite shampoo too use.

What a wonderful first experience! I’m newer to the area and hadn’t had my hair done in 8 months. I went to the Old Town location and was so impressed from the time I walked in to the time I left. I showed my stylist Kayla R. pictures of the look I was going for and I got exactly that! Also, the experience in the wash room was amazing! Studio Be Salon is my favorite salon that I’ve been to. Awhile ago I had a not so great experience with a different salon that butchered my hair cut. So I was a little scared trying a new place. I first went to the south location for a hair cut with Shelby. She was super kind and really tried to understand my current hair routine while helping to teach me. I loved the cut. Then at the north location, I got my first balayage. Taylor really helped me focus in on the right color/tones and really took the pictures I showed her into consideration. For my latest appointment, I wanted a fresh hair cut and touch up to the balayage prior to being in my friends wedding. Emily was a great consult with respect to length and style of the cut after I showed pictures of what I wanted to have done on my hair at the wedding. She also did a wonderful job. It was a bit pricey, but I’ve come to realize that to be the case at any good place. Overall, I would say it is worth it. Thank you Shelby, Taylor, and Emily!
