My absolute favorite place to get my hair done hands down in Nashville. I had the most amazing first experience going to Salon Shade this past week. Kenzie gave me a much needed trim, color touch-up, and extension install! The whole staff was so warm and welcoming. Everyone in there hypes you up the whole time, you feel like you’re hanging out with a bunch of your girl friends! Exactly how their bio describes, they provided the perfect laid-back, but luxe experience. They only use the best on your hair and you walk away feeling GORGEOUS. I can’t wait to go back!

My hair was beyond fried from a previous stylist, and I wasn’t sure how I would ever come back from that. I have been with Megan for about a year and a half now., and she has completely changed my hair for the better. It’s the healthiest it’s ever been in my entire life. She’s very informative when it comes to all things hair – color, products, styling, etc. Carey Ann Morris is another stylist in the salon as well, and she is amazing too! I feel so comfortable when I’m in their salon and they do everything they can to give you a great experience. Carey Ann and Megan have changed my life! If you want a fun, upscale salon that feels like a family, this is your place! I went to Carey Ann in 2018 when I had black hair and I wanted to go back to my natural roots being a blonde. I wanted someone to take my hair health into consideration and she did that and more! Seriously great salon! Life is difficult, and then you find a hairstylist that you love. This is that place. Plus, there’s a hot towel and scalp massage during the wash session. Well worth the money. I’ve gone to Jaylyn for three years and followed her to this salon. I’ve never had any complaints about her and have always adored her as a person and stylist. I even recommended all of my friends to her. However, my first visit at Salon Shade, she seemed lazy in her work. I paid double for less. I asked to be blonder, but left with mostly brassy tones and a few platinum strands. As the days went on, my few blonde pieces turned brassier and no amount of purple shampoo or hair mask helped. Keep in mind, I hadn’t washed my hair or anything since she styled it. I’ve been going blonder for the past year, but somehow, 50% of my hair was still virgin level 5 hair and Jaylyn was telling me that I would need 3 more sessions to go blonde. Aside from that, while my hair was processing, she was talking about my life choices to my friends, who were also getting their hair done that day, when I trusted her with my personal life. She then posted a beautiful video of my hair in great lighting and hashtagged it #invisableextentions, but I have never had extensions so the whole video was false advertising. Despite recommending I use purple hair masks and come 3 more times to be blonde, Jaylyn stated that toner wouldn’t do anything to fix my hair, but said she’ll tone my hair again if I really want. I ended up deciding to go elsewhere and was completely blonde in one session with no brass and nearly all of my hair touched. When I posted my new hair, Jaylyn unfollowed me, which I felt was very unprofessional after years of going to her. I would’ve kept going to her had she offered to fix my hair in the first place and not talked poorly of me while I was processing in her bowl. I trusted her and she let me down.
