I went here on November 9 around 11 am as a walk in customer and requested a specific style. The woman near to the door gave me the dirtiest look after I told her what style I wanted. If the style is “too cheap” for you to do, just say so. No need for the dirty looks and gossiping in your language about the customer. I ended up going to the other Mimi’s braiding shop near Blink fitness and they gave me NO problems and no attitude

The girl that did my hair was very rude. I asked for medium box braids and before I could finish my sentence she cuts me off and says “we don’t freestyle, I need to see a picture!” With a dirty look. I’ve never had a stylist tell me that. And she had a nasty attitude throughout the rest of my appointment. I asked for medium knotless waste length box braids. I got butt length small knotless box braids. Would not recommend.

Horrible experience. Found this place on Instagram and since I live pretty close decided to give them a try. Went there for passion twist after speaking to the owner. When I arrive the owner wasn’t around but there were other ladies sitting In the shop. I showed them my picture (which I got from their Instagram) and explained what I wanted. They started going back and forth speaking in their language which should have been a red flag. Finally one of them told me to sit in the chat and she did my hair. The next day I noticed that multiple twists were unraveling to the point where I had to re twist them myself. Then not even a full week and the hair started falling out one by one. I am so disappointed because I paid $200 which is not cheap. Only for my hair to last a week? Unaccceptable. If they did not have a stylist that knew how to do the style they should have communicated that. I will never again use them to do my hair. I don’t have money to waste. Unless you’re getting box braids I wouldn’t go here. Clearly that is the only style they are able to do.

Work is good however I took out my medium sized knotless braids which I paid 240 ($20 tip) for on Friday 9/16. I go Sunday 9/18 today asking for small medium knotless braids and the lady said with a straight face $500! The owner needs to be careful who she lets run her shop when she’s not there. I don’t like being swindled for my money. Go to Matou Braiding on the same street.

Best braids you gonna get in NJ. Parts are clean and crisp and braid aren’t too tight. Crystal did my hair. Mimi does excellent work also.

I should of read the reviews before coming here. I’m a business owner. Never again. I gave 1 star because zero isn’t an option. Hospitality and professionalism speaks volumes. Unprofessional, no set prices, price different every client. Rude with the speaking of their language in front of patrons. Knotless doesn’t look knotless at all. SMH.

I have got my hair done a couple of times here but they dnt conduct business right if u make appointment for a Style two days before and they dnt call u back and u keep texting for them to say I been busy and I’m going to see if another person can braid ur hair and still no response I’m done with them bad for business

Being as though I had knotless I decided to take my braids out on my own only to find out my knotless had knots and I lost a lot of hair. I had to pay extra for the owner sister to remove all the knots, I then have them do my hair again and I discussed with her sister that I would need them to remove them for the next appointment, I’ve called and texted them for weeks and I promised several times that they would remove them and never heard back. I constantly see on social media that they are free foe walk-ins but yet too busy to remove my braids.
