My first experience here was pitiful. I paid for a gel manicure and what I got was slim to no attention to the service. Did not clean up my cuticles or hang nails, just filed my nails and painted them, then drenched my hands in oil. Half of the nails were uneven and opaque in areas where the nail wasn’t saturated. Because she did not push back or nip my cuticles, the polish laid on top of them, causing it to lift and peel.

Excellent experience at Mateos. We had a couples’ deep-tissue massage for my boyfriend’s birthday. The environment was incredibly relaxing. The therapists, Brano and Maureen, were considerate, professional, and knowledgeable. And the massage was actually a full 60 minutes! (Most places end up doing 50 or 55 minutes of actual massaging.) We will definitely be returning for other special occasions.
