I used this nail salon in place of the one I usually go to because we had family in town and it was convenient and really liked what it looked like. I unfortunately will never go back. I got dip for my fingers and not even two weeks in one of them just pops off. The whole nail not just a chip. Almost as if I had press on nails that just came off. The next day another one comes off. My other fingers I can tell are lifting from the dip also. I’ve been getting dip for years and have gone as long as 3 weeks without getting back to get them redone and this has never happened. Very disappointing to say the least.

It’s nice and clean inside. Seats are comfy and it’s relaxing. We were a last minute add, so it was a little rushed, but the techs were very gentle(important to me) and our polish looked great!

The chair they put me in was broken and while they offered to move me they didn’t offer to move my husband so I was stuck. She used a cheese grater on my feet. She didn’t shape or file my nails at all and the paint is chipping in less than 12 hours. I would not go back here, especially for what they charge. Pedicure

Critical: QualityWe made an appointment here because our normal spot Palace Nail Bar is closed until the 18th. I went with a friend. First impression was great. On our way to our appointment, the owner called and told us they were running a few minutes behind. We didn’t mind sitting in the car a few minutes while they caught up. Definitely appreciated the phone call though! We walked in and the atmosphere was great. Steampunk/industrial style gave it such a unique and upscale look. I was impressed! The main area was clean, the bathroom was clean, nail areas were clean. I was even thinking “wow, we might have to change where we get our nails done”. We were offered drinks on several occasions. The owner came over and was talking to us about his filtration system and how it was designed. Very attentive. Then came the nails.I usually do dip nails, and I did today. I’m not sure who the nail tech was as no one was wearing name tags that I could see. She put five coats of color and six on some fingers. My nails are soooo thick. I ask her to thin them down and she ran the drill over them. But it was the same fine grit one they would have used anyway before the clear coat. I wanted them taken down but alas… I have included pictures below. There is glue, rough edges, crooked nails, clear coat not totally covering the color, nothing like I was hoping for. I have included pictures for you to make your own decision. As for me and my friend, this was a one and done for us.When checking out, the own ask how it was and I replied “fine.” he said “Like good or just fine” and I responded with “fine”. I did not want to be confrontational. I did tip 18% because I am a nice person and I know these ladies have been out of work. We all have bills to pay. Tip was a little more than $8.00. She was nice and did try to make casual conversation. Two reasons why I mention the tip, the first one, being how the owner spoke to the employees. He purposefully made the nail desks narrow (2ft exactly as he stated) so “they (the techs) don’t take up all the extra real estate with frivolous pictures of family and such.” Direct quote. I would not want to work for this man. Which was the main reason for the tip. The second reason, after reading other reviews, the responder always brings it up. Just wanted to justify my tip while leaving two stars. So in closing, two stars instead of one strictly because of the cleanliness and unique atmosphere. If you are looking for a new nails salon, call Palace nail bar in the woodlands, ask for Nick, tell him Heather and Susan sent you. Or call the location on Rayford, ask for Steve, tell him the same. They will take great care of you.We made an appointment here because our normal spot Palace Nail Bar is closed until the 18th. I went with a friend. First impression was great. Did not get what I wanted nor did I like the experience. My size of nails she did were too big, she also did a dip. WHICH I DID NOT ASK FOR. All I wanted was a new powder set. THATS IT. I absolutely hate my nails and have to pay to have them redone. They are so uneven because she insist on doing it her way to make it “easier” Manicure, Dip powder

This is a great location. Ladies did a great job on my toes and my daughter’s nails and toes. They didn’t try to upsell which I really appreciate. Chairs are comfy. Large TV’s hang in front of chairs so all easy to see. Custom cubbies for your purse and shoes by your chair. So happy we found this place! Decor is amazing too…a little Steampunk vibe which I love.

Critical: Quality, ValueAfter much turmoil I decided to visit this location. The draw was the “ventilation” system described on social media sites. It’s no different than any other nail salon. The difference here is the ceilings are so high the dust & product waste has space to float around…I even asked “What is that” (pointing to the gadgets at the techs spot) and was told it’s for the venting but it’s not connected. (really??)The attention to detail is limited. The tech I had was very unorthodox in her process. I’ve NEVER had anyone put my sandals on me BEFORE they polish…but I guess it saves time & reduces risk of messing up…but it was extremely uncomfortable. There’s no side shelf on the chairs for my wallet/cell to sit, the bowls are disgusting and thank goodness they use plastic bags because I wouldn’t put my foot in them otherwise. I’ve been getting this service for over 20 years…I’ve never had it this bad.I’m back to searching for quality services. The massage was subpar, the scrub was painful as no water was used to “soften” the scrub, the wax wasn’t even tested before placing my foot in. I asked “Is it too hot”…she said you let me know! (really??) It was too hot. I let her know. (usually they rub it on your legs to cool it down) The hot stone massage was a brief 2-3 minutes with little attention to actually massaging but rather going through the motions. It’s sad when people don’t enjoy their job. I will not go back to this location for any services. Oh and the brow wax…what a joke. When I got home I double checked…I don’t expect perfection but I do expect more than 50% of the hair removed. I had to clean it up myself…and with the expense of these services…these technicians REALLY should step their game up.The 2 stars are for these reasons ALONE–which have nothing to do with the actual services provided.1) Quality control–the receptionist at the front is in control of all product & caters to the technicians. Unique. I’ve never seen this & would imagine if the shop were busier this could be problematic.2) Aside from the disgusting foot bowls, the space was clean. No stragglers of nail clippings, no dirt in the corners, very clean for a nail salon. If you’re looking for a basic mani/pedi–this spot may work for you. If you’re seeking high-end, attention to detail designs, etc….skip this place. Not a place I’d recommend.*there was some god-awful music concert on the television –seemed to be on loop. It was excruciating to listen to. I’d rather watch reruns of HGTV shows than to have to watch that again. The 10% discount they “promise” for reserving online wasn’t worth the headache, the drive, and the experience. Not to mention, they only wanted to give me 5% explaining they’d “recently changed policy” That shouldn’t be my problem. Thankfully the receptionist was easy to work with and honored the original 10%. Even with that, it was too much for what I got in return.Skip them if you can….Services: Manicure, PedicureAfter much turmoil I decided to visit this location. I would like to begin by saying this has been the most pleasant experience I have had at a nail salon/spa I a very long long long time. The owner was welcoming the minute I entered the salon and I was a walk in. He took his time in explaining his design/architecture of the salon which showed a lot of pride. I’m not very easy to impress and visiting this enchanting place made my day. Hanna did an excellent job on my pedicure. I will be coming back to get my nails done in a few weeks. So happy I found this place where I’m not treated as if I’m an imposition but a paying customer.
