I’ve been going to Whitney Madison for a few years now and I’ve always had good experiences. Megan is great. This latest cut was probably my most drastic. She cut off about 5 inches. This may be my favorite haircut I’ve had in years. The cut was stylish and affordable. (Plus the Peruvian chicken place next door is great)

The first couple of times that I went for my starter locs were great, Deana started my locs. After a month I called to book an appointed and asked for the same loctician and I was told that Deana would not be working on any of the days that I was available, so they proceeded to schedule me with the Liberian lady, I trusted she would have the same skill set and creativity as Deana, I was wrong. I waited 30 minutes passed the appointment time because she was fixing someone’s hair on the time of my “appointment”. When she got me in the chair, she told me I didn’t need a wash after a whole month. She sped through the twist and was done in 15 mins, after I got out from the dryer my hair was in every which direction and unneat. I went back to see if I could get a retwist NOT a refund because I couldn’t not wear my hair to work or anywhere. She told me it would be an additional $85, pricier than what I initially paid. I went to another establisment to fix it, they ruined my whole day and wasted my money. Never again.

My type 4, 1-2 inch length hair was considered too soft and short to braid by the braided. Considering I’ve had braids done at another salon when my hair was both shorter and relaxed, I’m disappointed. This was for my bday weekend so I feel it was a waste of time to drive there to not get my hair braided. Box Braids

This is my second time here. 1st time was last year with a different stylist. Today I had Christine and she hooked me up! We discussed what would be best for my hair type and how well I would maintain the end product. She explained everything that she was about to do which was nice. This was my first time at the salon and she was very friendly and put a lot of care into detangling my hair. She managed to brush out all the knots and tangles and gave me great hair care advice.
