Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI cashed in my Aeroplan points and used them at this spa for a Men’s Foot Grooming and Men’s Hand Grooming. Michelle looked after me both times. I was more interested in the Men’s Foot Grooming as I can’t do that myself. Michelle did an excellent job: I am almost reliving the experience as I write this review. I made use of the steam room and the sauna—a great place to relax. Unfortunately I am a bit disappointed in our spa experience. I booked 5+ months in advance for their Spa and Sun program (book 2 – 90 minute appointments get a cabana for the day.) I went with the honeymooner package (not cheap, $905 is what we ended up paying, plus left an additional tip.) The masseuses were wonderful, but what was not wonderful was that when we arrived we found out the actual spa was closed for construction. We were so looking forward to the rain rooms, mud bath, sauna, and got literally ZERO of these extra amenities. Instead, we were shuffled to a floor of the actual hotel that had been cleared out to make a “spa”…. A regular room is where we checked in, changed in a regular bathroom, shuffled to another room for the massage. I really wish I had been notified of this before my appointment, rather than be blindsided once I arrived. I would not have paid $1000+ for the day, to receive a massage in a regular hotel room. I could have stayed at my hotel for 1/3 of the cost and done that. I just wish this information was communicated. If you plan to book at the spa, ask them if the ACTUAL, REAL spa is open.

First spa I’ve been to on Maui and it didn’t disappoint. Me and the wife got the couples lomi-lomi package off of groupon. Our masseuses were very nice and you could tell they knew what they were doing. I was worried going in because I had a raging sunburn but they assured me that they see it basically every day and they were very accommodating to my comfort level. After the massages we then spent another hour and a half using the steam rooms and showers. They let you use the spa services for the whole day, you can even leave and come back later. I say book your appointment as early as possible, when it’s much more private in the steam rooms and such. We felt like the 1%ers. 10/10

My husband and I went to Willow Stream Spa for couples deep tissue massages on our honeymoon this past week. We were not staying at Fairmont, but thought it would be fun to have the resort massage experience. The massage therapists were great – respectful, did a great job targeting high tension areas. The Spa provides lockers, has you change into a robe, and gives you an hour before or after your massage to enjoy the showers. For $250 per person (with tax and the required 20% tip), we were expecting to be blown away by the whole experience. Little things detracted from this: the tables didn’t get hot enough, so my husband required a heating blanket to stay warm; they never asked for his shoe size and gave him shoes that were too small; we were so far from each other in the room that it didn’t really feel like a shared experience. If you have $500 to spend on a couples massage for a standard massage experience with a few special features (they offer you tea afterwards and allow you to use the showers), then I would recommend it. If that seems too pricey, then you’re probably better off choosing a local stand-alone facility.

Hubby and I enjoyed a couples “awa” massage during our stay at the Fairmont. We had never had something so indulgent and it was very worth it! We felt so amazing and exfoliated after. The staff were friendly and everything felt clean. The experience showers were fun to try as well! Highly recommend!

We attempted several times to contact the spa and let them know that we would like to move our time. The spa was not open when it was supposed to be in order for us to speak with them. We ended up being charged the full price of the massages without receiving them. They told us that they have a 24 hour cancellation policy but we never recieved a text or email with that information and it was not on their website. As well, the concierge told us that as long as we texted the spa to let them know our plans had changed they would not be charging the fee.
