I have been a licensed massage therapist since 2004, specializing in Scar Therapy, Myofascial Release and Therapeutic Massage. Over the years, my focus has been working with clients who suffer from surgical, trauma or burn scar tissue pain and dysfunction, as well as clients who are in various stages of surgery and injury rehab or experiencing chronic pain. Each client should be approached with a fresh set of eyes and ears. I understand that every person has unique challenges and preferences, and pride myself in being able to hone into the needs of each individual.

Myofascial Release
Myofascial Release is a highly specialized stretching technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Uneven stress can be transmitted through the fascia to other parts of the body, causing pain and a variety of other symptoms in areas you may not expect. Myofascial Release treats these symptoms by releasing the uneven tightness in injured fascia.
Scar Therapy
Gentle and effective manual techniques (no tools) are used to address the texture and quality of scar tissue, improving symptoms resulting from all types of surgeries, traumas or burns. Scar tissue may cause pain, pulling, numbness, limited range motion, emotional distress and other symptoms.
Scar Tissue Release
Scar Tissue is fibrous tissue that replaces normal tissue after a surgery or injury. Scar tissue has the potential to spread and restrict movement or function to any area of the body and may also cause numbness, hypersensitivity or emotional distress. Because a scar and its adhesions cause restrictions in your body’s fascial system, you may experience pain in another area of your body that is directly related to your scar.
TMJ Therapy
Gentle myofascial techniques to the jaw, neck and head are combined with therapeutic massage to alleviate symptoms related to TMJ dysfunction. Intraoral work is included if client is comfortable.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic Massage is designed to focus on your specific issues. Your treatment will be tailored to address your areas of chronic pain or discomfort and help return your body to a more balanced state. If you are an athlete, this treatment will include different sport-specific techniques aimed at increasing athletic performance, decreasing recovery time and preventing injuries.

I was referred by my dentist for TMJ relief. I am only one day out from treatment but already my jaw is better and pain has dissipated considerably. Stacey informed me it could be as much as 3 days for complete relief.

I feel fortunate to have found Stacey Welch, as she has an amazing touch. The ambiance of her office is relaxing (away from main road and quiet, comfortable, inviting, soothing tunes). Her skill and style are perfect for my overworked muscles. I was sad when my last MT retired, but that sadness is now replaced by joy in having found the best in Wilmington.

Stacey is a consummate professional. She is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to understand your needs. I would highly recommend her services to anyone needing massage therapy. I have gone to her for both stress relief as well as injury relief. I have also dubbed her “hands of steel” for the strength and endurance she possesses. Don’t let that throw you though, she has a very subtle hand when that is called for. She does not take a one size fits all approach.

My family has been going to Stacey for at least 5 years and don’t plan to change. We go for deep tissue massages. She is the best in releasing those tight muscle areas. She is very knowledgeable in all areas of massage therapy and is most professional. We highly recommend her services.

I am recovering from a long pestering back injury. While physical therapy has worked wonders to get me back on my feet, it has left me with a lot of muscle pain. I think that Stacie has been integral to getting the muscles moving in the right direction, and I look forward to continuing treatment. Glad to have found her!!
