Was surprised by the negative review posted here by Courtney Johnson regarding Wayne refusing to cut the hair of her usher even though he was an active duty Navy sailor. I’ve been a customer of Wayne’s for many years and Ms Johnson’s review seemed totally out of character with Wayne’s way of doing business. Asked Wayne about it today, he said the gentleman came in on the day of the wedding for a haircut and he had no openings until later in the day. That was why he was “refused service”. I have also been “refused service” when I dropped in without an appointment and was told there wouldn’t be an opening until later in the day or even until the next day. Members of all branches of the military should receive our thanks and appreciation. But I suspect he knew ahead of time when the wedding was taking place. As the sign in a local business says, “Failure to plan ahead on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part”.

He was not able to cut my hair properly. I wanted military style, zero on the sides and short on top. He refused to cut zero, said it wouldn’t look right and he left scallops and jagged areas in back where my hair went from short to slightly longer. I asked him to fix it but he refused. It was so bad I asked my wife to shave my head when I got home.
