Dr. Jessica Kirk is an amazing dermatologist! I am a very level headed person and would not write a good review if I didn’t think one was deserved and certainly wouldn’t write a bad on unless one was really deserved. In my opinion, reviews should be written from your personal experience with a business. I do truly understand that customer service is very important and my several experiences there have always been positive and good ones. I am also someone who treats others the way I wanted to be treated and if someone is having a bad day, I do my best to be more understanding because I don’t believe any of us have perfect days and I don’t believe most people who write reviews would deserve 5 stars themselves in personal life or work life. Anyway, I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Jessica Kirk. I always have questions and she always has taken the time to answer them. I had an embarrassing cyst that had to be removed and she was so gentle and really did an excellent job from the removal to the stitches. I even had my husband come along to get his skin tags taken cared of and she did an excellent job with that as well. I highly recommend her to all of my friends, family and anyone I come into that may need a dermatologist. I wish all the people I come in contact with in life were as nice as her. Her assistant was really helpful and pleasant as well.

Wake dermatology got me in the exam room early. Dr. Kirk was very thorough and explained the details of her exam as well as answering all my questions. She was very likable. I was offered several treatment options and was very pleased to have chosen Dr. Kirk as my dermatologist!

I have been going to Wake Dermatology Associates for years, first as a patient of Dr. Tuveson, now Dr. Kirk. Though I was very sad to see Dr. Tuveson go, the selection of Dr. Kirk as a replacement was an excellent choice. I find Dr. Kirk to have a friendly bedside manner, forthright with information regarding care, and very responsive. Refills or questions for Dr. Kirk addressed through the patient portal are handled very quickly. I would recommend her to friends or family without hesitation.

Sadly, I can’t write a review about my experience in the office, as I never made it past making an appointment. I am new to Raleigh and needed a refill of an acne cream. I called Wake and spoke to a very cold receptionist who informed me that the earliest new patient appointment was in six weeks. I scheduled and had to call back to move my appointment because of a work trip. I explained how I really needed to get in, and could they do anything sooner. I was given a curt “there are no earlier appointments.” I ended up canceling and trying a smaller practice. I haven’t been yet but Dr. Abernethy’s office staff was so kind and got me right on the schedule. Also, Blue Ridge Dermatology is just as cold/insensitive. If you want to be a number, go to these places.

Despite what many of the other reviews say, my experience at Wake Dermatology was fantastic. The receptionists were not rude or “cold” and Dr. Nasir was extremely kind and efficient. My appointment was at 3pm and I was walking out of the door at 3:20pm. No long wait in the waiting room or in the exam room. I would definitely recommend Wake Dermatology.

I saw Dr. Kirk 2 years ago for a very persistent staph infection I had at the time, and while I had to go back a second time because I followed her directions incorrectly, her advice and prescriptions took care of the problem when my physician had not helped. Regretfully I was going through a lot in my life at the time, and I was pretty impatient and rude to her and the staff because I had trouble finding the office, and I was frustrated with the infection, however they maintained their patience with me and I still feel terrible and embarrassed about my behavior to this day. Dr. Kirk is very sweet and professional and knows what she’s talking about. My sister sees her too and we have nothing but good things to say about her. We wouldn’t trust any other dermatologist or physician with our skin.

I have been seeing Dr Nasir for many years after Dr Jordan retired. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked him, given that he took over the practice. He is always professional, thorough and never makes me feel rushed. His office generally gets me in quickly and my wait time is usually short. He is a great dermatologist and I always recommend him to family, friends and clients.
