I moved back into the area and needed to find a new hair stylist. Wow did I ever! Laura was amazing! I have curly/wavy hair that parts however it feels that day. Plus, I wear it curly or straight, it just depends on the day. It was like Laura knew my hair (and I love her energy!) She gave me a fresh, stylish cut that flatters my face and is versatile, like my hair. I just love it!!! So lucky to have found Vanis and Laura!!

what a great experience! There is always a first time for everything and this was my first time at any salon getting my hair cut and colored! FAITH did such a great job! She was very nice, polite, we had great coversations, and she did an excellent job on my hair! I had no idea it would take 5 hours to complete! It was so relaxing! I felt like I was at a spa! Everyone was very nice and helpful. It’s in a nice location and a great sized place! Highly recommend going there! So many options LOVING the essential oil products and the plant based items! SUPERB!!!

Positive: Communication, Professionalism, QualityI never really write reviews, but this hairstylist deserved to get recognition. Yesterday, I came to Vanis for a hair coloring from Claudette. Not only did she meet my expectations, she was my hair fairy godmother. My hair got a complete 180 and the blonde is exactly the color I wanted. While Vanis is expensive, good quality is the biggest thing especially when being blonde. But, Claudette is very friendly and outgoing and shares her vision. I never really write reviews, but this hairstylist deserved to get recognition. Yesterday, I came to Vanis for a hair coloring from Claudette. Not only did she meet my expectations, she was my hair fairy godmother. My hair got a complete 180 and the blonde is exactly the color I wanted. While Vanis is expensive, good quality is the biggest thing especially when being blonde. But, Claudette is very friendly and outgoing and shares her vision. It was time for me to find a new hair stylist. Not so easy at 64 years old. I have to say that I have found my forever stylist. Jhaida has done my long hair twice now and I’m super ecstatic with her. Jhaida is not only a talented stylist, she literally performs “magic” with my highlights. Not only is Jhaida a real sweetheart, the entire staff is very friendly and kind. Way to go Team Vanis!

Critical: QualityI recently moved back to the area and decided to go back to Vanis for a hair color, cut and highlights. Very disappointed! I requested a Junior stylist just to get started and to find out the quality of this salon. Well let me tell you my first visit I received a root touch up and cut. I was surprised and I thought about it later. The stylist, first initial “K”, did not show me the color chart to consult with me for my opinion on this first touch up. So I just went with it. Anyway. I’d like to say for this salon being a high end salon $$, the color and cut was just average. This visit came out to a total of $119.00. Wow! So I thought well maybe its just me and I went back for highlights two weeks later. I booked my appointment with “K” again and decided to give her a second chance. I specifically asked her for partial highlights. Well again she did not show me a color chart and preceded with almost a full head of highlights. She also proceeded to color my roots again. I did not ask for a touch up. Okay I thought. Well maybe it will all look nice anyway, lol. Well she left me processing for only 10 minutes and when we were done, I could barely see any highlights. Long story short. I look like I got nothing done. I was stunned to find out that my bill came out to $190.00, lol. Crazy!!! The reason I decided to give this review is because I have received better quality of cuts and color at “low end” salons. And now I will have to go again and find another salon to fix the BAD hair cut and poor quality highlights. More $$$. Not fair. One more thing, on both occasions, “K” left the residue color on my forehead, lol. For being a high end salon I would think they have a solution to remove this from their clients.Vanis, I ask that you review the quality that “some” of your stylists are putting out. For what you charge it is a waste of money and time for some of your customers and this also tarnishes your reputation. I will not be back. It’s a shame because I would be willing to pay good money for good results. I will go elsewhere now.
