Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueHeather tried to correct the situation. She refunded the $300. She offered to schedule an appt for a gloss ( which would be to put brown on ) until it grows out again. However, my hair is ruined. It gets worse daily with the color and damage created by Samantha. Took 22 months to grow out intentionally — natural hair color is beautiful and real.Now in order to get back to what I had prior to this failed beauty school project by Samantha. I am forced to either cut off all my hair — or fly to So Cal and have a professional correct the color $2200-2600 in chair. This doesn’t include the travel cost.The comment today 1/3/2022 that hit me in the wrong way by Heather — it’s worth the cost to go south to get corrected then I don’t have to worry about coloring anymore ? The goal of growing out my natural hair beginning 22 months ago — was already to avoid the chemicals of coloring my hair. Clearly — no one figured that out — I didn’t plan on coloring my hair when I walked into that salon and I certainly didn’t plan on paying $2600+ to correct the horror I have dealt with since 11/29/2021. Correcting the problem didn’t happen by Heather. Correcting by the salon wouldn’t be costing me hundreds of dollars by a professional.Suggestions of gloss to go brown to help w the grow out of the horrible work by Samantha in her salon. There was no miscommunication as you see the facts below and damage of my hair.The experience is listed belowNever had a bad hair hair experience until Monday 11/29 and I’m in my 50’s. No where close to what I asked for. Complete embarrassment. If I had YouTube or TikTok experience this result would go viral.** Don’t be concerned. I know Samantha will spin the story and say I wanted a full color with 1.5” of my roots showing ( maybe it’s a new trend — grow out your gray and then go to Urban Beauty in Bountiful and have a full color DARK and special request LEAVE THE ROOTS GRAY ) that is a completely LOGICAL request — especially since I went 22 months growing my natural out and she told me at least 4 times it was beautiful. This may seem petty — to some — until you are unable to go in public and spent $300 for a nightmare — unable to have Christmas family pictures with somewhat ‘normal’ hair. Referred to this stylist by Heather. I am so angered by this absolute ignorance of an adult — I’m beside myself. There is no correcting it except shaving head. Hair is damaged beyond repair due to Samantha’s neglect.Email sent to salon owner prior to reviewI am completely aware stylists rent space in salons — however, stylists are a reflection on the salon. In writing, face to face multiple times.I didn’t ask to go from SALT AND PEPPER to FAILED BEAUTY SCHOOL EXPERIMENT and it’s brownish red to top it off. Might as well colored it purple for that added professional touch. Classy is all I can think.To bring it into prospective — which doesn’t mean a lot to some …. I went to the salon with full grow out of gray ON PURPOSE – I asked that the bottom pieces be weaved in small sections that were light brown. Instead. I was left with a full head of full color over all my gray except for the roots. So it appears I haven’t colored for 3-4 weeks. I’ve been growing out my natural color for 22 months – shocked is all I can say.Pics included I would never post something like this – but absolute pure ignorance. Went to a salon in Salt Lake for help and we did a clarifying wash – well 3. Samantha was the stylist. $300. The text to set up the appt was clear. If I wanted a full color over my gray it wouldn’t have been $300 and I wouldn’t have asked for the roots to remain gray.Heather is a very nice person — but wasn’t able to correct the negligence.
