The first visit to Urban Gypsy was perfectand I loved my hair. So I was very excited to go back. However, my return visit was quite the opposite. I asked for balayage and showed a picture to Crystal of the color I wanted. I should have known there was a problem when I got out of the bowl and my hair was a shade of pink and orange. She reassured me that a toner would fix it. Sadly the hair on the top of my head is a brassy yellow and the rest of my hair is a couple different shades of blonde. My scalp is on fire after the coloring and I lost a good portion of hair after she teased it so aggressivelywith the comb during the process. When I called the salon the next day to discuss how badly my hair looked (as evidenced by my co-workers who all noticed) Crystal was defensive and not willing to give me any sort of refund for not givingme the servicethatI requested.She did offer to fix it, but I am not willing to go back there as I have lost confidence in her ability. $350 down the drain, along with my hair.

Lauren did my hair and my daughter’s hair. She’s such a nice person and she was very easy to talk to. I probably talked too much….lol. She did a great job with the cut/color we wanted! Her fees are very reasonable, too!! I will be back!!!

This place is awesome! A boutique within offering a bunch of really cute things. Because who doesn’t want to shop and get their hair done all at once? 😀 Kasey was able to fit me within a day’s notice. Simply put: Superior EXCELLENCE! Greg took the time to listen and look at photos of how I wanted highlights to look (shoulder length hair). He suggested ‘Balayage’ then explained the difference from regular highlights. He is a master at his craft! Love Love LOVE my hair!! Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityHorrible. I went to get my roots done and color my hair. The root color I wanted wasn’t dark enough, the coloring wasn’t done correctly either. I went it showed a picture that I wanted and she barley looked at it. She was unprofessional as well. When she was coloring my hair she left the building for an hour! When my hair was done the roots were messy and I still had old (pink) coloring in my hair. Never going back! At least the lady that I had was unprofessional. I went it showed a picture that I wanted and she barley looked at it. She was unprofessional as well. When she was coloring my hair she left the building for an hour!
