I was gifted a Swedish massage with hot stone treatment for my birthday by my lovely kids. It was a very good experience and my massage therapist did a great job. However, I wish she had applied more pressure in the areas she asked I would like to treat. I definitely think everyone should treat themselves to a treatment at least once a year. I would return. Ballys I’m not sure how you advertise, but I didn’t know this place existed until I was gifted the card.

I just moved to Smyrna and was looking for a spa to call me new home. I get messages and facials on a regular. I mixed my appointment time up and arrived 40 minutes late. I was unable to get my wax service but asked if there were any other appointments available in the afternoon. It was also policy to charge me for the full service even though I did not receive it. I know this to be the case for a no show but I did arrive for the appt. The front desk staff stated their were none available but I did not even see her take the time to check a schedule. I then had hoped I would get my 80 minute scheduled message but instead got 60 minutes which again I’m okay with as I had mixed my start time. I received the Let’s Chills Message when booing online I requested a male therapist but on arrival was told there was none available. I wish I had some notice prior but again I am okay I just wanted to relax. During my message I asked the therapist to give me more pressure as I felt the stokes were so lite like a child was touching me. The therapist R. would then had the pressure but a few minutes later it was back to the lite stokes. After an hour I felt no change in my body but rather felt like I had just laid down for an hour and had oil rubbed on my body. For a resort spa I was expecting more. The only thing done was that the front desk staff would talk to the manager and maybe in a couple of days I would hear something from them.

The customer service is HORRIBLE! I make a concerted effort to read everything online prior to making a phone call. Since this is a spa, I went online to see a description of the massages offered. I found nothing nor did I find the pricing, so I called. The rep answered the phone as if she was slightly bothered but I tried to ignore it. I told her the pricing wasn’t online, long pause. Then she tells me about an $118 massage, just a basic description, if you can even call it that. I ask her “are there any other massages offers?” She gives me another generic description about a massage that is $135 then goes on about how the masseuse will hit a tight area if I ask. I scheduled it then called right back and unscheduled; after I thought about it, people work too hard to enjoy good experiences for the people providing it to have bad attitudes regarding questions about their basic services.

The ONLY reason I am giving this a 4star is due to the pricing and the staff. (Let me be clear- not owners or management or services available or amenities) but the actual staff is wonderful, super friendly, amazingly helpful, listens to concerns, offers suggestions and extremely knowledgeable. Lauren did my facial and she was fabulous! I fell asleep which is always the sign of a phenomenal treatment. Front desk staff went above and beyond even so much as to give me her cell to text if I needed to change my booking after hours due to some extenuating circumstances I had shared.

I was treated for a full service by my son on my bday 12/21..I didn’t feel a good vibe when I got there. I didnt want a massage nor pedicure.. So I decided to go for a manicure. I had to wait over an hour for the person to arrive bc there was noone for the nail salon. .by the time the person arrived I really didn’t want anything done. “I was told no refund… ” ..my daughter in law convinced me to get the manicure I asked for a plain style French nail. It’s awful . I don’t recommend this place to anyone until they get professionals. First impression is what counts.

So, I read the reviews and I must admit several gave me pause to change my decision to get a massage on my birthday but I said let me be my own judge on this one and I was so glad that this one time I didn’t listen to the naysayers. Toppers inside of Bally’s Casino (formerly Dover Downs) came through amazingly. My massage therapist, Nakia, did an amazing job and I would definitely come back again. Thanks for starting my bday of right!!

Hands down my favorite place in all of Delaware. It’s such a refreshing surprise from its surroundings. The casino is nice sure but this spa. Is glorious. I’ve had several services. The price is worth it.

Toppers was so great that I would return to Delaware and stay at Dover Downs just so that I could go to this spa! The staff was wonderful and the masseuse was excellent and accommodated my specific needs. It was a little cold at first but warm in the room and the massage bed was heated! I left totally relaxed and felt like a star! I would definitely recommend this place.

i’m disappointed with my experience and the services i received here, My boyfriends mom wanted to have a nice spa day with me so she took me here ( my first time) we were scheduled for a simple mani pedi at 2pm, we arrived and the spas atmosphere was very nice, although once were were brought back to the room where we our mani pedis were supposed to get done they had only ONE nail tech for the both of us, we started the service and the poor nail tech had a hard time doing the service with the resources the salon provided her, she started my manicure and had to redo my whole hand because the polish was goopy and hard to work with, the salon also had no fans to dry your manicure, they did not provide enough supplies for this poor nail tech, we started out service at 2pm and didn’t leave until around 5pm, this poor nail tech did the best she could with the time and tools provided but that is completely unacceptable, the managers of this place should not be putting that workload on to one person, as well as the lady at the desk telling me they only have two nail techs on their staff and that that’s only how many they would hire that they didn’t need more, and on top of that the woman at the desk also told me that they don’t pay their techs AT ALL, part of me thinks this was her attempt at getting me to tip more, but even so that is unacceptable, I feel bad that my boyfriends mom even paid for our services, and I feel even worse for the poor nail tech who works there, then need some serious restructure and new management, I will not be returning and I’ll definitely be showing my boyfriends mom a better place to get her nails done at much better quality
