I have lived in Astoria for 6 years and have had the HARDEST time finding a salon for my hair. I cherish my hair and I have been through a lot of traumatic haircuts where people don’t know how to cut/style wavy/curly long thick hair – so it’s hard for me to trust someone with my hair…until I met Sandi. Wow. She is an incredible person and talented stylist. I am so grateful to the local moms of Astoria for recommending her to me. I have been feeling frumpy after not having a haircut in over a year and being a new mom and not having anyone locally I felt like I could trust. I left her salon almost in tears of joy and gratitude. I felt absolutely beautiful. She understood exactly what I was looking for and explained in detail what she was going to do and she did exacrly that! She also went above and beyond and gave me pointers I so desprately needed for styling my hair (especially with postpartum hairloss). I felt so welcomed, so comfortable and so pampered. I was even sad to leave because I enjoyed the conversation with her so much. She’s a wonderful person on top of her skills as a stylist and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity for her to care for my hair. I hope to forever be her client and highly recommend that if you are looking for someone you can trust, look no further than Sandi at Teased!

Rosangela cut my hair a few weeks back and I could not be more thrilled with the results. Took about 10 inches off. I was nervous about the adjustment based on past experience with other salons but it’s been fabulous. Her experience with different hair types I think made a big difference. My hair has movement and looks great naturally wavy and blown out. And I have the right amount of ‘hair in my face’ not the bob that covers half your face where you can’t see out of one eye and only looks good in a still photo. I am loving every bounce in my step nowadays. Thanks Rosangela!

Go to Sandi’s hair salon. I have been going to her before “Teased”. Got my haircut yesterday there and she did an amazing job as always. Shes friendly and really good with the scissors. I totally recommend getting a hair cut here. The salon is super clean, spacious and bright; you will feel completely comfortable sitting in this salon while Sandi works her magic.

Sandi is gifted and talented! I’d been going to the same hair stylist for 5 years and when she moved, Sandi came recommended by my coworker. Sandi did such a great, natural balayage that my boyfriend only asked if I got a haircut (lol), which I lovingly said yes to bc I liked that the change was natural and not drastically plastic looking, even though we went with light blonde tones. Will come back here every time!
