I’ve been having Priscilla cut my curly hair and I recently brought my mom in for cut. She had been cutting her own hair for years and was nervous about having someone else cut it. Priscilla not only did a great job cutting my mom’s hair, but handled all the emotional aspects like a pro, putting my mom at ease and mom is overjoyed with the results. First time going & it was a last minute decision. The ease of their online appt reservation was a godsend. The salon was spacious, clean and inviting. The staff were so friendly, great ambiance. I was nervous because I have very tight curls and haven’t always had the best experience. Tiffany was very attentive and cautious. She wanted to be sure i was getting the cut that I wanted and made me feel comfortable. It was a great experience overall, very happy with the results!

I had an amazing experience at Surrender Salon. I hadn’t received a haircut in about 7 months, needless to say I was long overdue for a cut. My long curly hair was in need of attention and some rehabilitation. Additionally, I was looking for a place to call “home” for my haircut needs. I have found a “home” at Surrender Salon. My stylist, Priscilla, took her time with the Devacut consultation and when it was time for the cut she was methodical and precise in her craft. I am very pleased with the outcome so pleased I have been recommending Surrender Salon to family and friends. My hair looks healthy, moisturized, and the cut nicely frames my face. Priscilla truly understands curly hair and that understanding is priceless. I know that when my daughter comes of age she will get her curls cut and styled with Priscilla at Surrender Salon. The salon is not your typical salon – it smells great and has a very zen vibe. Priscilla is very sweet and does a great job with my hair cut and color. They usually have cool handmade jewelry and all the products they sell are natural and/or organic.

I moved to Long Beach when I got married in August and was in need of both a wedding hair stylist/salon and a salon I could call “home”. When I called about getting my hair done (mind you, about a month before the wedding), Priscilla was eager to do my hair and definitely put me at ease! She had me come in for a trial (I was on a super tight budget, so she suggested I get the hair trial and skip the makeup trial– I’m happy I trusted her!). She is so sweet and made me feel so comfortable! I was so happy with the trial, so I chose her to do my hair for the big day! She did the makeup for all of my bridesmaids and some of the hair (with help from her sister– their mom owns the salon as well.) It was all so wonderful!

Tiffany is wonderful at listening to my requests and has successfully been able to color my hair without messing up my white streak in the front. She is careful at separating what I want colored and what I don’t. Believe me, it is not an easy task. Also, I have sensitivity to chemicals and I never feel the burning sensation I have at other salons. For this reason I travel 32 miles to Surrender Salon. Plus, I have really thick hair and Tiffany is able to style it and make it look smooth and ready for a night out. Thank you, Tiffany! The receptionist is terrific at booking my appointments just at the right time and sends me reminders so I never miss one. Sorry her name slipped my mind.
