I’ve lived on Cape for my whole life and have been going to Lee Nails for about 15 years, or basically since I was “allowed” to get my nails done. I stuck with them through the moving around the mall and different nail techs coming and going. I have gotten good and bad from Lee Nails but the last experience I had was bad to say the least. I understand that nail techs have to be able to work on human nails to be able to get better but nail preparation is the key to a good nail tech. On December 8th, 2021 I was cut multiple times by the drill and my nails were shaved down to almost nothing, paper thin. The acrylic burned unbearably (due to the paper thin nails), but I still sat in that chair just like I had for the 15+ other years and waited it out. The next day, my nail broke off, so I went to the owner to have her fix it but she wanted the person who did my nails originally to fix the broken one as a teaching moment. I was perfectly fine with it as long as it got fixed. Two days after it got fixed I lost another nail, so I went back to the salon and just asked for a refund because it’s not worth it to me to have to go back every time a nail breaks. I was told by the owner that if I get a refund I was never allowed back and I was banned for life. I decided to get the refund because my nails had already been through enough trauma. When the owner gave me my money back another nail fell off, like it was a press on from CVS and she continued to throw the money towards me angrily. It’s not right how they treat the people who supported them for 15+ years. Safe to say, I will never go back even if I could.

I went in to get a simple gel manicure, I usually get my nails done every few weeks as they a fairly long, the previous color was black french this time I went for a natural French. The girl left black gel under my nails from previous, she also grinded the previous gel off with a grinder instead of wrapping them.. again got a FRENCH (that I always get) she covered the whole top of my nails in white, she didn’t even ask if that’s how much white I wanted on my nails which I did not, I’m assuming it was to cover the black that is still currently there she also cut my cuticles to short so I bled. They were not shaped properly either some parts of my tips are rounded while the other side is pointy and sharp, they are also rough to run my finger over not very smooth at all So the hour it took to do them and the $35 I paid + tip was a waste of time and money because now I have to go pay someone else to redo my nails properly. In all it was not a great experience and I will never go back.
