Critical: QualityI don’t usually sweat a bad cut and have never left a bad review but today felt bad enough to do so. I came in with a photo of what I thought was a pretty simple cut (attached below). The first girl I spoke with said that she didn’t have much experience with “these cuts” and suggested a wait for another stylist. I didn’t think the cut was that complicated but appreciated that she would tell me she didn’t feel comfortable. She assured me the other stylist would be able to help me and do an “awesome job.”Then my suggested stylist came from the backdoor, clearing coming back from a smoke break. I showed her the picture and she seemed a more than a little unsure and looked at it several times. My gut told me to just leave right then but I decided to trust the process. She never mentioned any concerns about her ability to do the cut or for my hair to look like the photo I showed her.She buzzed the underneath first (I already had a slightly grown out undercut so this was quick) and then she started cutting the top which was fairly long (more than long enough to go in a ponytail). The first cut was immediately shorter than what was in the photo and stood straight out but it was too late to stop then so I went with it. It got progressively shorter and all stood straight up/out from my head. She put some product in it and tried to blowy and curl it when she was done so it would “lay right” but I still left looking like a hedgehog.When I got home I attempted to play with it a little but can’t get it to do much of anything besides stick straight up, except near the back crown of my head where it lays so flat that my head looks misshapen. I attached some photos below which is similar to how it looked leaving the salon. This was straight out of the shower without any product or blow drying and my hair still damp. It got even more poofy and vertical as it dried.I understand that hair grows differently for everyone and not every person’s hair will realistically do the cut they might want. But I don’t even think I got what I asked for and if my stylist had said, “Hey, I don’t think your hair is going to do what is in the picture you brought in,” I would have listened. Critical: ProfessionalismI’ve checked-in in this place and the lady greet us, but the way she talks is not welcoming and has a rude tone. I cancelled my appointment. I don’t want to let her cut my hair if she’s giving me attitudes upon meeting me the first time. It is a nice place, but if the staff is rude then It’s not a good place.
