Relaxed positive, atmosphere! Easily accessible location and parking. Lovely owner Sarah and very warm and friendly team of stylists! Jamie H. is AMAZING and has been our stylist of choice for the past year. Sweet, creative, attentive and especially gentle with little kiddos, Jamie has been our “go-to” for shampoos and braided/twisted styles for our 8 year old naturalista daughter; promoting the overall health of her curly, past-shoulder-length natural hair.

My experience with this salon was horrible. There were many red flags and here’s why. First, it was unprofessional of them not to provide a phone number in order for me to verbally speak with someone about booking an appointment, after I asked for it several times for various reasons. Even after I inquired about an appointment through Facebook messenger, it took them hours to respond back to me about even booking an appointment. So that was very disturbing. Lastly, I believe charging $25 for a consultation fee outside the charge for the actual service was a bit of a reach, considering the unprofessionalism in the beginning and also because that cost is above the average cost of most consultations in Indianapolis for many natural hair salons (speaking as someone who has had a consultation done before and paid less.) Overall, I would advise that this company do a better job being more tactful and reasonable when trying to get new customers. Everything about my interaction with Sarah was unsettling and unprofessional.

Every time I have time to get my locks retwisted, there’s no doubt in my mind of where I’m going. Soul Sistahs is one of the best in the city. Sarah takes the time to further her knowledge in hair care. She keeps her customers in the loop about whst she learns, & that is what service is all about.

There were multiple issues but just to speak on a few:. the $25 consult fee is ridiculous and I was charged the tip of $5. In discussing what style I wanted I was told no extensions are done; this should be on the website this is very deceptive. Didn’t like atmosphere of shop; the overall experience was not good at all.
