Do not go to this place! I took my 2 year old son for a haircut and when we got home I noticed the cut was not even. I called to get it fixed and they said they would charge me $15 after I already had paid $30 plus tip. I will never go there again. They did not even see the horrible work they did and automatically wanted to charge. The worst customer service. I am including pictures so you can see for yourself!!! It is unbelievable that you did not even see my son’s and you’d rather loose a customer! You are acknowledging that you do not care about your customer! Wow! All please see evidence below (in their response) of how bad the customer service is!!!

Im giving 3 starts because of the stylist. I took my son for the first time to trim his bangs. I’ve been trying to let his hair grow which I specifically told the lady when he sat down in the chair. After I told her I wanted to just trim a little she talks about using a number 2 on the sides and back I had to say No you are only trimming his hair Im letting it grow do it with the scissors please. Well she started cutting everywhere and kept on letting his bangs covering his eyes. At the third time I had to ask her to please stop cutting everything to please cut the front only because the hair was still covering his eyes. Long story short she didn’t listen and kept justifying what she was doing. Stylist need to listen to what the customer wants not what they think you should do. I told her I didn’t want gel on my sons hair and she still put a little which I had to wash in a public bathroom because my son has very straight hair and gel only last 15 minutes and then his hair looks insane. I had high expectations about this salon. The place is very nice and clean. The girl at the front is very nice she tried to accommodate us and see if my son wanted to watch anything in particular. He got a balloon and a lollipop. The place is nice for kids the only problem is they should tell their stylist to ask parents what they want, every person is different not every customers wants the same and more when it comes to kids. Another thing is that she cleaned the edges and neck with the machine and she didn’t ask me when I realized she was already doing it so I was like ok whatever but it shouldn’t be like that. The sideburns came out crazy I had to fix at home. Other salons I’ve taken him they always ask you if Im ok with this or that. Maybe I give it another try with another person since the salon is conveniently located for me and the place is super cute.

My kids hate getting hair feeling on their body, and the sound the trimmer makes. Just afraid to get a haircut, they have been coming here since they opened and they love it. The stylists are all very patient, and make them feel as comfortable as possible. I always make an appointment as it is the best way for all of us. I call to make sure appointments are booked properly as sometimes their app doesn’t show appointments.

We had a great first time experience at Sharkeys West Gables! We were treated so nicely when we arrived and checked in. The salon was impressive with its beautiful set-up and very clean. Our cut was with Teresa and she gave my son a classic boys cut and it was exactly what we were going for. My son had such a great experience, he wanted to return today! Thank you, Sharkeys!

We had an appointment with Marisol. She was late to the arrive and my son’s haircut came out awful. We asked for a simple long top and shot sides, and I even showed a picture as reference, and she gave him a thick, uneven, blunt, bowl cut and shaved off his sideburns. It looks absolutely terrible and since the sideburns are gone we can’t fix that. I won’t be going back.

We went for the first time yesterday and we both loved it. Teresa was so patient and sweet with him, he had a great time. She was willing to keep working on his haircut until we were satisfied. Definitely will be coming back! 🙂
