Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is the ultimate kids’ hair salon in Madison, New Jersey, providing an exceptional haircut experience. Children can sit in a Police Cruiser, Barbie Jeep, or other fun chairs while watching their favorite shows and getting their hair cut. Older kids will love a chance to play Xbox One while getting their hair cut. Each of our haircuts for children comes with a wash, cut, style, lollipop, and a balloon. Girls’ haircuts include a mini-cure (painted fingernails) too! We create an environment where parents and kids can be pampered, receive an excellent haircut, and have a joyful experience. We also emphasize giving back, allowing children to choose where 1% of every haircut will go. We are a veteran-owned small business!

My husband and I brought our almost 5 year old here for a haircut. From the very moment we walked through those doors everyone was amazing. Christiana (not sure of the exact spelling)& Michelle were incredible with Stella. It was truly genuine. Michelle patiently cut her hair and was very accommodating. Christiana gave her a manicure. She has such a great personality and is meant to work with kids. We will definitely be back and I’ve already told several people about our experience. Great business and great service.

I took my 4 yr old son here for the first time. He has always been nervous and hesitant about getting his haircut. The stylist who cut his hair was great! She listened to what I was looking for in regards to his hair style. She was also very kind and patient with my son. My son’s 2 cousins came to watch him get his haircut. The rest of the staff were so friendly to them. One staff member worked hard to keep the cousins entertained. One cousin was able to get a manicure and the other was able to play video games. The one stylist who was entertaining the cousins was very engaging and kind. When all the kids left the salon they all raved about Sharkeys and they all said they couldn’t wait to go back. I was very impressed with everyone at the salon. I will definitely be bringing my son back there again!

Today was our baby girls 1st haircut and Evelyn knew Exactly what to do. She made our daughter feel so comfortable and welcomed. I haven’t seen this girl get her hair brushed without a tear in the last year and today she didn’t shed ONE tear. I am literally Amazed. She was pampered and loved it at Sharky’s. Had a pretty disappointing experience this past week. The staff seemed overwhelmed and were very impatient with my kids. One of them told my 6 year old to keep still bc she needed to work faster bc she had another client waiting. She also buzzed his entire head after we told her we wanted to keep it longer. My son left devastated that his hair was butchered and she made no effort to style it at all. We won’t be returning.

Had a wonderful experience with Evelyn! Had requested to see someone else, but that person called out sick and we were moved to Evelyn. At first, I was frustrated that for the 2nd time with trying to see the requested person we were (for different reasons) moved to someone else, but today I’m happy that we were! Evelyn was kind and patient with my daughter, gave her a fabulous cut and blowout, and did not rush the service at all. Could not be happier with her!
