Lisa did a wonderful job on my 7 year old daughter’s hair. She was patient & kept asking cute questions to her. My daughter was playing minekraft on the screen & Lisa was answering all her questions/ queries. We also donated 12 inch of my daughters hair. I’ll visit again

I spent 3 years growing out my hair for my daughter’s Girl Scout troop. Wigs for Kids listed this location as having hair donation specialists, and I was assured of this by the scheduler whom I made an appointment with. Arriving on the day of, however, was a major letdown. The “specialist” Aysah, had no idea what she was doing, was coughing regularly with no mask, and exuded an attitude of not wanting to be there. I tried to explain that I wanted everything on my head donated – I wanted to leave bald. Wigs for Kids donation guidelines explain that 4-6+ pony tails should be made with rubber bands close to the scalp so nothing is wasted. Aysah instead resolved to only band 2 ponytails down at my neck – which would have wasted most of my hair and reduced the length of the donation from about 2 feet to only 12 inches. Fortunately I bailed just as she was about to cut my ponytail in half, and as I got up she and the other stylists chalked it up to me “chickening out”. On the other hand, my daughter’s stylist, Heather, was phenomenal but still unfamiliar with Wigs for Kids, so I ended up having to take her hair donation home to ensure it was banded and shipped properly to the right charity. What really got my goat about Aysah – after all the issues I had – was how she treated the little girl behind me. The girl wanted to sit in the firetruck in the boys section that was entirely empty, but Aysah wouldn’t let her and instead made her sit in a girl car she didn’t like as much – all while coughing on the poor girl continually throughout her cut. When my daughter’s hair was finished and looked fabulous, Heather said she could get her nails painted too, but with Aysah unmasked and coughing throughout the area next to nail painting table, that was AN ABSOLUTE NO GO. Considering Aysah’s behavior, and the indifference to that behavior from the rest of the staff, we will not be returning. I will also be reaching out to Wigs for Kids to have Sharkey’s locations removed from their list of hair donation specialists. If you are reading this and a lack of covid protocol doesn’t bother you, then book an appointment with Heather.

Great experience with Jessica today. Our son had his first haircut. He was a wiggler, but she remained patient & his hair looks awesome!

I have a one year old & I usually take him to Cookie Cutters in Fullerton, but decided to check this place out since its closer to me. As soon as I got there the receptionist was not friendly or welcoming, she seemed mad. An Asian lady (didn’t get her name) began to cut my sons hair & she was not being gentle. My son started crying & she just kept going. She would grab my sons head for him not to move. She didn’t have no patience, idk why she works with kids. She ended up messing my sons hair. Lisa approached us & she was really friendly & tried to calm my baby. I ended up telling her if she could cut his hair. She tried to fix his hair, but by that time my son wasn’t having it anymore . Ive never had this problem when I go to Cookie Cutters, my son always enjoys it. NEVER coming here again.

My daughter really enjoyed her first visit here! She was very comprehensive at first but the lady who did her hair made her feel very comfortable so she really enjoyed her experience. We did have an appointment so we got right in as well.

Over the service, the staff and the price! Cute and fun experience for the kids. Took both my daughters and they made them feel like princesses. This is the only place my girls are getting their hair done!

Getting my son’s haircut has been a challenge the past 2 years (he’ll be 3 in December) . We’ve gone and paid a lot of money for cuts because no one has gotten far enough.

Critical: Professionalism, QualityUsually I have gone to the Location in Irvine, however, decided to visit the location in Tustin. A mistake. The lady that was assigned to my son was extremely rude and rough when using the clippers. Left marks on my sons hair, didn’t really talked to us, seemed like she is not happy there. Horrible experience. My son doesn’t really care for haircuts, he is after all 3 and still learning. After this experience with Asia, I fear he will be more opposed to it. If she doesn’t like to work with kids she should find a salon for adults. Do yourself a favor and don’t go with her. Maybe visit the location in Irvine, it’s a lot better. And the stylist seem to actually have compassion for kids .Service: HairstylingUsually I have gone to the Location in Irvine, however, decided to visit the location in Tustin. A mistake.
