The spa itself is lovely, my problem was with my massage I had. It was rushed and my masseuse took no care to focus on the places I asked her to. I was in and out of the room within 40 minutes. After I met up with my girlfriends, who also had massages from other masseuses, told me about all the things their massages included, even a simple foot massage was ignored on my end. Had booked a couple’s massage over the holidays. When we arrived, they asked if we would like any enhancements. I wanted to foot exfoliating treatment, but told the lady at the front desk that I would need to be sure it didn’t contain salicylates because I am allergic. She said to just let them know.

Horrible! Got mani pedi was told “we don’t have tools to do French or anything else, just polish”. I was already frustrated then it was only a couple min of foot and leg rub for an hour pedicure. Nails and toes were painted that’s about it, not many color choices. Ok…let’s get to the massage. It was scheduled for 55 min. The therapist was trying to convince me to cancel because she could only provide 25min before she had to leave. She had no intentions of doing my back at all much less my legs or anything else. I basically paid to have her get mad at me and put a bunch of oil in my hair. Literally covered my hair in oil, I’m still trying to wash it out. Then they did comp the massage due to the bad experience however my bill was still $200 for nail polish that I could have done myself. Yes automatic 18% gratuity added. To add it was no less than 30-40min to check out! So much for a relaxing spa day, worst experience ever! I will never go back!

Critical: QualityI had a mani/pedi on December 28th in this place at the JW Marriott Savannah and paid &180 for it, the worst quality of service I have gotten, she didn’t trim cuticles, did not clean under nails, I had yo ask her if she was going yo trim the corners. I’m just removing the polish from my hands and feet and the nails are all like serrated edges, the corners are sharp and not straight. The only part I enjoyed was the massage on my calves and hands, it seems to me she’s a masseuse and not a nail tech. For what I paid I should have gotten the best mani/pedi of my life and it was a big fail. I don’t understand how this place has a 5 star rating but I noticed the newest review is 6 months old. My husband and I got a couples massage at the Poseidon Spa in the JW Marriott in Savannah last month. We received a warm welcome from the receptionist, and the massage therapists were very attentive and guided us in selecting our custom massages. After the service, we browsed the products for sale and I ended up purchasing 2 small bottles of perfume. When we arrived at our next destination, we noticed that both bottles had leaked and only a few drops were left. I called the spa to let them know, and they connected me with the VP of Operations, Raye Vogler. Raye not only called me personally, she also made sure to ship 2 replacement bottles to my home address. This is customer service at its best!

Erin is amazing! I did a deep tissue massage and he really has a knack for finding all the right spots; it was just perfect for working out my back. He really loves what he does and it shows!
