Went there to do highlights and blowdry my hair which was included in the price. Since it took a little while to do my highlights I was told they will not blowdry my hair because there’s no time. When I asked if someone else could blowdry my hair they said no and sent me away. I never had such a terrible and unaccommodating service like that. I highly recommend going to any other salon in the area but this place.

One of the Best of Union Square finds within the University District enclaves bordering NYU to Washington Park. Located on West 12th, Shair is found on the second floor, it encompasses a good part of the building’s floor and layout. What was absolutely surprising is it’s tremendous sense of interior design space and trend, also known as “Tokyo Style.” The feeling especially is captivating, after-shampooing. The unmistakable fragrance of an onsen’s hair and body products is so great and greatly refreshing, it’s all definitely imported from there. The outfitters are Japan-based team of local stylists who remind me if this other place in Tokyo that I went to just to get my hair cut while visiting, the day after arriving— always terrific. Fantastic. And totally awesome. What is often notable for this edginess is the serenity experienced in its timeless approach for hair design and interior spaciousness. Like many hair design firms, from past to present [e.g., Paul Brown, Honolulu(1976-78); Scissors, Seattle (1978); Gary Manuel, Gene Juarez, H2O, Aiko, (1990-1996); Aveda, NYC (2006-2010); HairMate, Tokyo (2014-2030)] they all have a high pedigree of commonality with one another. Great stylists and superior professional staff and outstanding customer services. It’s exceptionally tasteful and the people are genuinely wonderful in every aspect.
