Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, ValueI would sincerely not recommend Atyia Lavan or Taylor , The Vigorous Hairtician , due to unprofessionalism. The stylist works in Salon D’Allon Suites. The stylist has been extremely misleading and duplicitous and has personally texted me several RUDE/ INAPPROPRIATE text messages . I would post but not sure of Google’s guidelines.Will forward to the BBB of Houston and other social media platforms.I found out about the stylist per the internet and flyers. I decided to reach out to the stylist since she had a variety of specialties and services, from then I should have known better then to proceed due to the difficulties in communicating with such stylist. The stylist seemed to be somewhat forgetful and almost too busy to follow up. I excused the situation in attempts to be empathetic.I booked a consultation with the stylist for Oct. 23rd of 2020. Upon arrival, I noticed that the stylist was running behind in services with another client. I waited about 30 minutes to be seen. The stylist seated me while still servicing the other client despite COV-19 regulations. After analyzing my hair, the stylist assured me she could style my hair and also suggested %100 Human, pre-made hair. Later in October, I attempted to communicate with the stylist about using the hair that I received and she reassured me that as long as it was human hair we could style and attach the hair.I booked two appointments for Nov. 14th of 2020, one for coloring and one for installation. Upon arrival of the appointment again, I noticed she was running late. I was not seen until 15-30 minutes after the appointed time. After being seated I asked the stylist again, ‘Can you work with this hair?’ The stylist reassured me that she could.The stylist initially said she could do the service in four hours, she took 6 hours minus the coloring in addition to as wash and re-twist ( that she said came with the service). Interestingly enough, the stylist constantly answered calls and responded to text while performing the services. Stylist claimed that a customer was basically harassing her and waiting in the parking lot. The stylist asked me to text her once I got to the parking lot to insure her there was no one waiting! I note this to reiterate UNPROFESSIONALISM!Although the coloring was nice, the locs begin to FALL OUT shortly after I made it home. I eventually called and messaged the stylist about the failed style. On Nov. 28th of 2020, I reiterated that my locs had fallen out and the stylist assured me she would re-do the style. I scheduled appointments on Dec. 18th , 26th, 28th as well as Jan. 08th 2021 in which all were cancelled per Atyia’s request. The stylist lied and fabricated several excuses as to why she would prefer a cancellation when in reality she did not want to expend any time reinstalling the hair. The stylist finally referred me to another loctician prior to the final appointment. The loctician referred doesn’t even do the desired styling so she referred me ignorantly. The stylist felt entitled to retain 50% of the balance paid because she did a wash and re-twist which I thought was unethical, if anything she should have given me most of my money back instead of making excuses to justify her decision .Despite some of the other reviews, I definitely would not recommend due to lack of professionalism and unethical behavior. The stylist preferably uses cashapp for payments. I also would not recommend sending payments via cashapp for business services because if services rendered are not satisfactory or professional, it is very difficult to dispute charges .
