After researching at least a dozen hair salons, I went with HairThairapy due to the great reviews…my hair is thick, course, colored and challenging, but I am tired of feeling like a “project” for stylists who are inexperienced. Due to Covid, I used box color and cut my own hair…and I knew it just looked awful, but my other stylist retired. I liked that this salon has both master and senior stylists. I asked for a master but got Denae, a senior stylist and I couldn’t be happier. Denae also has long thick, wavy hair, and she knew just what to do. SO DIFFERENT than other salons over the years who would highlight my hair then ruin it with a toner that makes it a muddy color. She listened, I brought a picture and instead of toning it, she put in lovely darker low lights and the PERFECT SANDY BLONDE highlights. She was mindful of time and my hair felt great afterward. When I got home, I really wanted more highlights…I wanted it more blonde throughout… I called back and they gave me an appt the next day! Denae was gracious and accommodating, never making me feel bad. Although they discounted this additional highlight cost, I paid her a $50 tip anyway THAT’S HOW IMPRESSED I WAS!
