Rebecca is absolutely AMAZING! She always does such a wonderful job with my hair & eyelashes- LOVE her! Not to mention the atmosphere everyone there is so friendly and very welcoming. I also had the chance to meet the owner Jennifer and let me just tell you she is she’s super friendly and fun and cares about her customers just as much as her employees, My favorite salon and favorite stylists. LOVE this salon! I tried several salons when first moving to Tuscaloosa, and I found the best stylist! She always listens to what I want and always delivers! In addition to great service, they also do eyelashes extensions and I was very happy with those as well! Go see Raychel Watts at Salon Five 01! She’s great!!

I love Salon 501! The salon has such a happy environment, and the stylists are professionals who work very hard to please their clients. Gayle McFerrin has been my hair stylist for many years. I have followed her to all four locations that she has worked, as did most of her clients. One of the main reasons I am a forever client of Gayle is that I trust her. I know that whatever she does to my hair, I will always love my cuts, color and styles! When I decide on a new look, she always respects my wishes and never disappoints me in making my hair look its best. In addition to her professional skills, she makes her clients feel valued. I listen to her inquiring about her clients’ family members and making plans for appointments after hours or on weekends to assist clients prepare for special events. A special memory I will always have of Gayle’s concern for me as a client and a friend happened years ago when I was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. When I had lost so much hair that I had to start wearing a wig, Gayle came to my house and cut the thin strands of hair that were left. We cried together. She found me a special “Dolly Parton” wig that was so cute that other clients, who did not know I was wearing a wig, asked Gayle to style their hair like mine. Gayle made a really difficult time in my life a lot easier to bear. Gayle has excellent skills, character, professionalism and concern for others! So proud to have her as my hair stylist and friend!

Horrible service. Gayle Mcferrin has no idea what she is doing and butchered my hair. The other stylists there couldn’t even figure out what she was trying to do. She was told to do highlights and ruined my hair. She then chatged me $200 on top of that. I suggest shaving your head before coming here.

They are too overly priced. Charged me $175 for a haircut and to put bleach on the ends of my hair to make it a lighter color. Asked the girl how much it would cost and she said 60-80$ Plus the price of the haircut, I was fine with that, but once I got to the register it was $175…. Definitely was not worth it…..

My mother has been going to Gayle for years. I was introduced to Gayle in middle school. She was always warm and inviting to me. I have such wonderful memories of going to her when she was employed at Gayfers. Gayle has never been anything but kind and gracious to my mother. My mother has an amazing sence of character and she considers Gayle as a friend and that speaks volumes of Gayle’s character.
