I got the worst haircut of my life and awful highlights. My hair was cut about 4 inches shorter than what I asked, and cut in uneven, blunt “layers” (I’m using that term loosely because I don’t know what these were supposed to be). The back was cut in a diagonal line, not straight at all. When I left, it was styled so I couldn’t see how bad it really was until I got home and re-styled it the way I wear it. After crying for an hour, I had to pay another salon to fix what they could without losing anymore length. They also put highlights on the front of my hair and there are patches that are a rusty, orange color instead of blonde. When I pull it back into a ponytail (which is the only way I can wear it until it grows back to a normal length), you can see a straight horizontal line of lightener, so I’m also having to pay another salon for a color correction on top of the $95 I had to pay for this awful haircut. There are many good salons in the area, so please learn from my mistake and do not come here.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, ValueAlthough I urged the hair stylist to cut my hair shorter he just wouldn’t do it. It was a good .5-1 inch longer than the haircut he gave me last time; and I requested him to go a bit shorter than that. I requested multiple times during the process but it’s such an uphill battle, in the end I just gave it up. OK so I just won’t get my haircut with him any more. A pity because this salon is really convenient for me. I also do not like the fact that the staff (most of them) do not wear masks. I understand it is no longer the state policy but I like my salon to be on the cautious side. After all this is a service that requires prolonged close contact!Update: had to cut my hair again at another salon one week after this debacle. Very unhappy. The stylist is Alan. A dear friend shared her hair stylist, Alan Vu, with me when I was ready to cut the long hair I had for 35+ years. Alan’s artistry was superb.. He and everyone in the salon were so friendly & professional. A wonderful mix of warmth and excellence! I’ve loved his cut & styling each time! Highly recommended.

Everyone is really kind and friendly, but thats basically the only good part. My stylist cut my hair at least an inch shorter than I asked and completely ruined my experience by doing so. Said “Wow your hair really springs up” pretty much acknowledging her mistake of cutting it way too short. Its way overpriced as well. I understand its in a nice area, but theres no reason a regular haircut and blowout should be 90 dollars with tip. My regular place is 65 with tip. Highly suggest they either make improvements to the salon to value at that price, or get better stylists.

I’ve been having my hair cut and colored by the owner of this salon since I was 2 years old (I’m not 31!). I’m so proud of him for taking the leap and opening his own business – especially in such a wonderful space! JJ is the best colorist – hands down! I’ve now lived in multiple cities along the east coast and now the midwest. I get stopped all the time (especially during my 3 years in NYC!) and asked where I get my hair colored and cut! I am so proud to tell them where they can go.

I’ve been going to hair stylist J J (John ) Manning for over 10 years and have been obviously very pleased with the results every time. Now that he finally has his own salon in Haverford, he has been able to surround himself with other outstanding professionals. They are friendly and pleasant and all very competent. I could not recommend Salon Cachet more highly.

I LOVE Cachet. The people are so wonderful! I have very thin straight hair and Nikki Castaldo has given me beautiful extensions that make me look like a thick and curly waved lady. The extensions are real hair, no one can see them and they last for such a long time. Thank you Nikki for giving me the hair I always wanted. It is such a joy to walk in the salon, greet Deb the fantastic receptionist, JJ , the owner, Zoie the fabulous assistant, Nikki (who I have been with for 10 year) Alan , Mia and everyone else who smiles and works there.
