I was searching for a place to get a Brazilian Wax and came across this beautiful Wax Boutique. Robynne is so down to earth and she made my first wax experience very comfortable. I was so nervous, but she talked to me throughout the process , which made my experience enjoyable. Her suite is located in the city of Chicago with accessible parking. The Suite is so warm and welcoming with positive energy and vibes!! Robynne also makes her own skin care products in which are all natural. I love natural products with no chemicals and was excited to try her line of different products. I purchased her Butterfly soak, Bae Butter and her hand made citrus soaps. All of these products smell amazing and left my skin so soft, but the Butterfly Soak was my absolute favorite!! I enjoy taking bubble baths and this mix of rose and hibiscus was very relaxing!!

I have been to this place once before but I had booked an appointment twice. The first time I booked the appointment I was moderately satisfied. She was very talkative and quick which made the experience somewhat bearable. Before getting started, she noticed my hair was on the longer side and used scissors to trim it. The scissors she used were dirty and looked a little rusty. I am not sure how sanitary that is but me being in a vulnerable position, I did not say anything. The overall outcome was nice and it lasted for a long time.

Im upset. I should have read the reviews on google before wasting my time, because she definitely deserved negative stars. I got there 20 minutes early to a locked door. I waited until 3:16, when my appointment was at 3:15 and then left. Usually getting to an appointment 10 minutes early is ideal. But she never showed. I also know someone was there because their laptop was on the desk, purse and coffee next to it. I got a Groupon refund. Thanks for wasting my time. Rather just shave.

I am trying to remain positive seeing as this ‘situation’ is ongoing but I gotta tell you, the skepticism I’m beginning to feel regarding this ending well is REAL! So I booked an appointment online last week Thursday for a Brazilian wax for today, Tuesday at 2:15. Immediately after booking I got a confirmation email which made me happy – I added to my calendar and kept it moving. Fast forward to today, the day of the appointment; I drive to the place and when I get there at 2:00, it’s closed…like lights off and nobody’s home kind of closed. I called the number and the voicemail is full so I emailed Robynne to find out what was going on. When she got back to me she stated that there was an emergency and asked if I would be able to come back tomorrow or Saturday. Unfortunately, neither days work for me because I am leaving for vacation tomorrow morning and when I replied back stating that, I got crickets…radio silence. The crazy thing is, I have no emials, texts or missed calls in an attempt to reach me to let me know that she was going to have to cancel. Look, I understand that emergencies happen but the professional thing to do is to reach out (via email) to whomever you have on the books for today, apologize and ask them to reschedule. If you can’t due to the nature of your emergency then have someone do it for you seeing as you are running a business after all. You do that because you appreciate the fact that your clients time is just as valuable as yours. I did get my Brazilian somewhere else and it was awesome (thank you for asking) but I really did want to support this establishment. We’ll see how this all plays out and I will keep you posted!
