update: i returned for a complimentary service and was met with kindness from the staff, but the manicure was still honestly terrible. there are cuts all over my skin from the filing and shaping process, my nails are cracking already (it’s been hours since the service), and my cuticles are a MESS because she filed for so long and then didn’t trim them. my nails are weak and will likely break before i get my next mani, and the actual polish is uneven and bumpy. the best thing about this manicure was that it was free.

This was my second time coming to Design 1 Salon Spa, and I am still unpleased with the service I’ve received. The first photo was done by a stylist there that had great customer service, and I have no complaints of her work, but the fact that it has been exactly one month and the color has completely faded… that’s an issue. I contacted the stylist and showed her pictures of my hair, and she blamed the fact of me using other shampoos and conditioners (such as Tresemme) because the chemicals can pull out the color faster. The only products I used are the ones they recommended for me. Which are the Redken Color Extend Shampoo and Conditioner and the Redken Unisex One United Multi Benefit Hair Treatment. I understand that I have tints of red, and that dye fades a lot faster than other dyes.. but I asked for dark brown hair with a tint of red. The stylists also told me that her clients are coming in every 4-5 weeks to get their hair done again.. that is not the standard time to get your hair touched up. It is 6-8 weeks usually, depending on the hair you have. I am upset of the fact that after my complaint, she told me that she couldn’t fix my hair because the grace period is 2 weeks. Even if thats the case, rules should be broken to make your client happy. This was my second and last visit to Design 1 Salon Spa. It is their product line (Redken) and lack of customer service that will not let me spend another dime there.

This place is nice. It was a nice valentine’s day gift of a massage, that fella was great! Then nail painting, lasted for a week and a half. Then a facial, it was needed!! And then a wash n blow out and the girl was very nice! Overall very enjoyable 260ish$

I liked coming to this salon and did for about a year until today. I called in the day before and scheduled a appointment for 1. I show up the next day at one check in thought I was all set. I was waiting for about 30 minutes when I went to the desk and asked what was the hold up which they then informed me my appointment switched to 1:30. Slightly aggravated I sat back down in they’re waiting room while 2 people went before me. after waiting for about a hour I decided to leave and call corporate and all they said was sorry. completely unacceptable and is the last time I will be scheduling to have my haircut here.

Went from my hair being to my bra line to on the sides its completely shaved. I was nervous not sure if it would work on me. I had my hair done by Marissa and she did amazing. She listened to what I wanted and gave me her advice on some things since I have no knowledge. She did absolutely amazing. I’m not one who really ever goes to a salon. I can count how many times I’ve gotten my hair done on one hand in my whole 28 years lol. I wanted to go in and do something drastic and cut off most of my hair. Went from my hair being to my bra line to on the sides its completely shaved. I was nervous not sure if it would work on me. So sorry to leave a bad review but I have had enough. My aunt went and got her hair colored, it was beautifully done but she had to come home and literally wash the shampoo off her neck. And sadly my mom also got her hair colored but is still struggling to get the color off her forehead. Like I do like this place but I’m finding it hard to go back!
