Was looking for a new barber close to home. Lucked out that this was the closest place. Gave me the vibe of the places I used to be taken to as a kid and they produce a heck of a haircut. No appointments, no price gouging, no problems. Doug gave me a fade that would make any Marine jealous. Greg, maybe I’ll sell you my Ruckus one day. If you want the real deal (ahem), real McCoy, this is the spot.

Came down here from 50 degree NJ weather with big hair. Trying new barbers is like changing funeral directors for me but my Jersey guy couldn’t clean my head up before I left. Unnerved, I got a recommendation from a cousin and had an incredible experience. Imagine a place where someone dedicated enough to work on Corvettes or train heavyweight boxers dediced to decorate and open up a barber shop. From the outside, it’s another south Florida strip mall. Inside, it smells like a shave and cut and feels the way Bradley Cooper looks. My barber, Doug, used compressed air occasionally during my remarkably precise haircut and because he did, I’m still wearing the same shirt I was in during cut. There is not a single stray stabbing it’s way into back and it’s everything I thought it would be. The conversation is as sharp as the entire experience and the only thing wrong is this place isn’t in South Jersey.

I’m all about supporting small businesses, my first visit was awesome, second visit was horrific. If you are looking for a fade hair cut you might want to look somewhere else or just stick with your original barber. Probably the worst fade I’ve ever had in my life. Had to go home and pretty much cut my own hair after. Each side of head was not even lined up or even. I asked for a mid fade with nothing on the top and ended up with a Mohawk pretty much. Was trying to support my local spot but will just spend the extra time and money to go to Jupiter spot. I tried…..

I discovered The Real McCoy five or six years ago after years of searching for a good barber shop. Since then I’ve never even considered going anywhere else. This is a “traditional” barber shop – no frills or fancy extras, just a straightforward excellent haircut. The shop is clean and comfortable with a very friendly atmosphere. Plenty of parking is conveniently close. The five barbers are all highly skilled and experienced. They make their customers feel valued and appreciated. At their very affordable price, they deliver an outstanding value. The Real McCoy is great!
