We have been located upstairs on the Boulder’s historic Pearl Street Mall since 1990. Our experienced stylists are highly trained, locally, nationally and internationally, as well as frequent in-salon trainings. Our staff is constantly searching out the best and brightest artists in the hair community for training. Pompadours takes pride in providing the latest styles and techniques in cut, color, makeup and facial waxing. Shelly was my stylist. I came in for an undercut and trim. She was very considerate, attentive, and skilled with clippers, scissors, and the brush. During each part of the process, we’d check in on her work to ensure that it was what I wanted; she’d also ask for confirmation before dramatic cuts. Her process and demeanor were incredibly confidence inspiring; I walked out with the exact result that I desired and felt like I made a new friend, too!

This is my go-to salon. Shelly is a very skilled stylist and it’s consistently a great experience. You’ll be an great hands here. The staff are always very nice. Plus, you’ll have the wonderful view the salon offers during your visit. The Aveda products are very good as well. Members of my family also visit the salon and feel the same.

I have really straight hair that is hard to cut and have been to half the places in Boulder. You would think with all the wealthy people in town a good hair stylist would be easy to find, it apparently that’s not the case. I can’t speak well enough of Pompadours. I am on camera sometimes for work and I’m happy to finally have found a place I feel like I can trust to do a great job.

This salon runs a major scam. I purchased a gift certificate for my daughter’s birthday for a balayage, hair mask and haircut. During her initial consultation, stylist Minwah failed to tell her how long it would take and the surcharge that came with the extra half-hour over the original booked hour. In the end, they charged my daughter an extra $200 over the $380 I had already paid. I called and spoke to the manager Hannah demanding an explanation. She had no idea but told me she would speak to the owners and call me back .. she never did. Stay away from that place, they are grossly overpriced, dishonest, and frankly nothing special .. plenty of better salons in Boulder at much more reasonable prices.
