I went to this nail salon to get SNS the night before leaving for a vacation. I’ve had dip/SNS dozens of times, and this was the worst job by far. As you can see in the first few photos, they were done extremely sloppy. As you can see, they aren’t even completely smooth and they scratched very easily. My finger tips were black after and I had to ask him yo clean them because the powder was staining my hands. If I want going on vacation, I would’ve gone back and asked for them to be fixed, but unfortunately that didn’t work for my timeline.

I found Palm Nails shortly after moving to James Island and love it. Unlike other nail salons that have a gazillion stations, making it impossible to really get to know their clients. Tiffany and Helen are the best,,, they make everyone feel so welcome and comfortable, know everyone by name, while giving the best pedis in Charleston. I would definitely go for a mani if I could, but can not due to the nature of my work. I will certainly be returning as a repeat customer. You will not be disappointed.

I called this salon for an “American Manicure” and was told that they do provide the style I was looking for. When I got there, I was seated right away. Then was given a french manicure, which was not the main problem. It wasn’t what I asked for but if done right, I would have settled. The main issue was that two nails were crocked. It looked as though the acrylic was not even over the nail. The pricing was good as they had a sale. I think that they do well with pedicure but with my full set, it was horrible. After I left the salon, I went to a shop in West Ashley. They removed all of the nails and gave me the proper “American Manicure.” If was my first my first time wanting this type of manicure. I did not know that a different tip was supposed to be used. The Palm Nails, polished my french tip on with the white polish. I would not visit this establishment for anything related to my hands. But I may give them a shot with my feet, as their pedicure clients seemed really satisfied. Which is why I rate it a 2 instead of a 1.

I went to get a fill and gel polish. There is a huge lack of detail. My polish looks terrible, there is polish pooled at my cuticles and in the skin around my nails. And the fill wasn’t filed enough in that it’s pressing on my nail bed. Sorry to say it’s the worst polish I have ever paid for.They are very nice here. I really don’t like writing bad reviews but I was looking in my new neighborhood for a place to keep up my acrylics and read all the reviews for surround salons so maybe this will help.
