Today was the worst experience that I have ever had at At the Beach Tanning! I was trying to make an appointment for today, but the person that I spoke with was not very friendly or helpful! She said that I had go online and pay $5 to get the special. I went in to pay the $5, I had to enter a lot of personal information and it was just for making a payment, but it was a 12 month contract and cost $12.50 per month. Plus if you canceled within 12 months, there would be a $199 fee. I tried doing what she asked me to do, but it kept coming up with the 12 month contract! I actually went to the tanning salon and get some help, but she didn’t do anything to help. I told her that this is truly the worst scam ever and walked out very upset!

I put my account in “freeze” mode because I haven’t used it in months. I was still charged 120 dollars in the last two months and only now told the “freeze” option is only good for 3 months, which was NEVER mentioned when I initially froze the membership. I spoke to “Jessica” at the corporate Denver office, who informed me she would not be refunding any of my money, despite what I was or wasn’t told by employees at the local salon about the freeze status fees, and she also refused to connect me to her supervisor. This is atrocious customer service. Zero integrity will eventually be the ruin of this company.

This location is top notch! From the moment you walk in, you’re welcome with friendly staff that is knowledgeable about all of the various products, tanning beds, and services. Erin and Jayla have always been super sweet and ensure my time there is spent getting the most out of the tanning experience. They and the entire staff have such positive energy and answer questions using practical terms so I understand and know what to expect. The store is always cleaned with such a knack for details and decorated for each upcoming holiday so the customers are left with a smile and a new tan!

I’d give zero stars if that were an option…prepaid for tanning punches a couple of summers ago, was assured they “never expire.” Called today to confirm how many left and to make an appointment. They cannot find me in the system at all. Called customer service, as they’re apparently too busy to go the extra step and try to resolve issue. After a 10 minute wait, they’re also unable to find me in current or inactivated customers.

Love this place! The beds are always clean and the staff are great people. I’ve been tanning here for 5 years. One time, I lost my wedding ring behind one of the beds and didn’t realize until hours later. Cara was working, she found it and held onto it until I could get back to the salon. I believe this speaks volumes for her character and the salon in general.
