I’ve been a member at the Hampton location since early 2000’s. However, I’m rethinking my membership in the last month I’ve been there 4 times and they’ve been closed during business hours. Today there were 3 other people there standing at the closed doors upset because we all drove there to tan and they were closed. I pay monthly for my membership however they’ve adjusted their hours so I’ve adjusted mine. Now they don’t even open during business hours that are new. If you are thinking about going here is suggest finding a more reliable place.

The business it’s self is not horrible. Usually always have a cheerful hello and the girls are usually happy to help. Its clean to my standards and I’ve got high cleaning standards.. However, these hours are not making any sense to a more than understanding and laid back patron. The store used to be open until 9pm, awesome. Then 8pm. Okay I can swing that. And now 7 pm as of a few weeks ago. Okay we’re really gonna have to plan to make it. But I got here tonight at 630 after rushing from work to get here since I now only have a 45 minute window to get in here to tan since they open at 11am….. and the shop is CLOSED??? Seriously? I feel as if I can’t even get use of my membership I pay monthly for with these hours. And I’ve been told I can’t tan if I get there past 645 before (while they are still open). I’m not sure what to do but I feel jipped. Please, do better for the sake of your paying customers. Pay your employees more, offer benefits to them (dinner, a free product, something anything) to help motivate employees and future hires. Do whatever is necessary to staff your store. I understand staffing being an issue here. But my money is wasted and unused due to these new store hours continously decreasing. Not what I signed up for.

I used to really love this place. I have a been a member since way back in 2007 when it used to be called Tanco. Lately however, they have changed their hours once again and it makes it nearly impossible for me to make it by with my work schedule. I don’t want to change my membership because I am grandfathered in to such a great price, but I am starting to have a hard time justifying paying for it when I can maybe make it in once a week now. I have even tried other locations and they all seem to have been closing early when they felt like it as it was, and now all have signs with new “temporary hours” which I have a feeling will turn into their new hours just like last time after covid. Very disappointing.

I was a diamond member at the BRIDGETON location, I have not been for almost a year now. Decided to go ahead and give it a try again even though my last experience was more headache than relaxing. I walked in the evening of 5/11. I was not greeted and I had to stand there for a good five minutes before being acknowledged. I let the woman at the counter know that I was there to sign back up at the level that I was before. I did have some questions about the emails that I was receiving about specials and what would apply to my specific circumstance. she said she didn’t know, I do believe that she was probably relatively new. I fully expected her to contact her manager to assist me and my membership. She did not she just looked at me and I asked her Can you reach out to your manager? She instructed me “no” with an attitude, and told me I could come back tomorrow. This will be the exact reason why I will drive farther that I actually wanted to spend my money, to an establishment that has customer service skills. I do believe if in fact she was new maybe she was not trained correctly, but that does not excuse the fact that she was rude and did not wanna help me. A business needs a new business to grow, this was exactly the opposite. I am truly disappointed.

Rude employees,prices to high and they lie about tanning the girl said she could only put me in the room for 6 minutes and then wanted to charge me 25 I was just shocked at how rude the girl was,they don’t care about the customer only themselves I highly recommend that you don’t tan there EVER

I used to love this place but they slowly started becoming more sneaky in their pricing and restrictions and at the same time less knowledgeable. The last girl I asked questions regarding the best method to obtain a tan since I hadn’t been in a while seemed confused and unsure. Then I bought two spray tans and they never told me I couldn’t gift either of them until I have one to my mom and they wouldn’t let her use it. So then I call later to use them and they couldn’t find them, then say I only had 45 days to use them, then when I say I paid for each of them separately, not for a period of unlimited, (is that even a thing?! I don’t think that exists with spray tans) they say they expire after a year then. Not transparent, not honest, not knowledgeable and not really as affordable as they used to be either. No longer a fan of this place unfortunately.

Critical: ProfessionalismI have been a member here for years and always freeze my account in the winter, then use my tan dollars on tanning when I’m ready for summer. I went in and was told I had an outstanding balance but when I was confused how that could be possible since I haven’t been in since last year and have been charged my monthly fees with a tan dollar balance of $132 the $17 outstanding balance didn’t make sense. All I asked for was some clarification for what it was for and the only people working were both training and didn’t know so they said they would call their manager. I explained I wasn’t trying to be difficult but I wanted to understand what happened. After they explained the manager said to just waive it since they were short staffed and she couldn’t come up, I went on with my tanning session. I was fine with all of the transactions that happened prior to my tan although I was still left confused. When I came out of the room the manager was there and started screaming at me telling me I yelled at her staff and she berated me in front of a lobby full of other customers. I told her I yelled at no one and she responded with “we waived your fee but your fee was for insufficient funds in your account” which is completely false and said to just embarrass me in front of the whole lobby. I even tried asking her to please talk with me professionally and I would be happy to discuss the confusion I had and the whole transaction. When I said that she ripped my used towel out of my hand and told me to “get out of her store”. I have never been treated so poorly by someone in the service industry in my life. I will never step foot in this store again for fear of being accosted further. Managers are supposed to be able to explain things in a professional manner especially when I’m asking how I have charges when I haven’t been in since last year and I have 16 months worth of frozen charges in my account and I have been in during that timeframe. Worst customer service experience of my life. Just visited the Hampton location for the first time in 2+ years and had a really great experience! I haven’t run an errand for myself since COVID and having 2 babies and was a little off today but Denae, Emma, and Madison were super friendly and helpful. I was tempted to go grab them a coffee afterwards but hopefully this shout out will suffice.

The ladies at the front desk are super nice and helpful. My only complaint is you have to buy a monthly subscription whereas the other tanning salons in the area charge per visit if you want. I was just trying to get a little color before heading to the beach for vacation. If you don’t cancel by a certain date you get charged for another month whether you want it or not.
