Ashley the nail tech was the best. She was kind, easy to talk to and did a great job on my toes! Loved my experience. The lady at the front was super kind as well. Great experience. Will be back when I’m in town again

My 2 friends and I come to this spa and hotel at least twice a year for girls weekends-we absolutely love all treatments we receive here. It is a first-class experience from beginning to end. HIGHLY recommend!!

I wasn’t told that the gel cost extra I was just told to pick out my polish…. it was 15 dollars extra for the gel. Then the polish they used wasn’t great I have little bumps all over my nails where she got debris from the cotton she used on my nails. I’ve never be so dissatisfied in my nails like I had today. The price is very over priced for what was done. The staff was friendly but they didn’t communicate the prices well and the lotion was very greasy and I had to wash my hands several times to get it off.

I booked a facial here after receiving a Mokora gift certificate. This is a nice looking spa so I was hopeful that I would have the luxury spa experience I was expecting. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I’ve received many facials over the years. Usually, the esthetician tells you what they are doing throughout the process (especially if you are a new client). I would also get a list of the products used on my skin afterwards. My esthetician (Megan) at this Mokora did none of those things. She did mention that I was her last client of the day so maybe she just didn’t feel like it at that point. I let her know that I had a nut allergy before we got started. She proceeded with the facial. Shortly into the facial she put a cold towel around my face…very disturbing/not relaxing. Not a technique I was familiar with but I went with it. She finished the facial (in silence). The next morning, I noticed little bumps all over my face. At first, I thought it was from the extractions but the bumps were tiny and located all over my face. My eyes were puffy, etc. I recognized it as an allergic reaction to something so I called the spa. I had to play voicemail phone tag since they don’t have a live receptionist. I finally left message stating that I had an allergic reaction and needed to know what products were used on my skin. I received a voicemail message from Jennifer. In that message she provided only the brand name of the products used (not the specific products used on my skin). She said the products used were “all organic” and “very mild” so they weren’t sure what could cause a reaction. What?! Well…the brand used is called Eminence and since I wasn’t provided with specific products used from that line, I did some research of my own. Some of Eminence’s products are made with NUTS. Jennifer, they may be organic products but it doesn’t mean that someone can’t be allergic to an ingredient in them. I have a nut allergy and products with almond milk, etc. should NOT have been used on my skin. I wouldn’t recommend this spa location.

I’ve been trying to book couple massages at this spa for a while now. Usually I have to leave a message because no one picks up, and they call back days later. By the time they get back to me I have already made alternate arrangements. I finally decided to try again today and got a hold of an actual representative. Everything was booked for a month ahead of time. That’s not the problem–in fact, it is to be somewhat expected. The problem was Anna’s tone. When I commented that a month is a long time away, she said in a very condescending tone, “well, we are a hotel and have 600 rooms so….” Wow Anna. Let’s just say, I will NEVER try to book at the Mokara Spa again.

Many aspects of the spa were calming and quite serene, but I am disappointed in the massage I received. I am not sure if the therapist knew how to give a proper massage. I am left with pain to the touch on various areas on my back and also a bruise. Very disappointing- I’ve had better massages at lower cost businesses. Don’t recommend!
