I called to schedule an appointment to see Dr. Roth and immediately was told that they are not able to see me because of an unpaid bill from a year ago, that has now been sent to collections. I have been going to this dermotology office for years and I have never NOT paid a bill. I didn’t receive a bill notice in the mail, nor was I called to be informed of this information. If my insurance company doesn’t pick up a bill, it is your staffs responsibility to give your customer notice before you send any bill to collections. How are we as customers supposed to know we have an outstanding amount due, if we aren’t notified?

Why is scheduling an appointment so difficult? I was left on hold for 30 mins. Multiple people picked up transferring me to the cosmetology department. Why isn’t there an online form to make appointments if you’re too busy to answer the phone? I was trying to take advantage of the “open house” sale but no one will answer the phone. Oh well.

I’m speaking on the cosmetic department only. They do a good job but there is ALWAYS an issue with scheduling. They tell you a date and don’t specify the month usually, and then you show up, request off work, TWICE, and they still have you scheduled for the wrong date. They called me today to cancel for a third time due to the fact that the person doing my procedure was ill. That I can understand, if it wasn’t the THIRD issue I have had with them. I don’t recommend this facility. Plenty of others around who might even charge less & do a better job,

I personally have only used the cosmetic area of this business, but have had wonderful experiences the past 4 years. I truly trust Janie and Ragan with my needs knowing they will direct me with the best and safest options. Their attention to detail and knowledge is superb! Both ladies are always friendly, kind, and enjoyable to spend my procedure with. I truly appreciate them!!! The staff is always friendly and pleasant also! I cannot imagine going anywhere else!

Very unprofessional from top to bottom. Only continued to be seen because I liked my provider, one of the PA’s. One time seeing the Dr. and felt he was very short and rude with me. Would not recommend this practice to anyone. Issues from scheduling, promptness, not calling in prescriptions, and when they did they were the incorrect prescriptions which I was told there was no way that it could have been their fault and that’s not what was prescribed by my provider even though that’s exactly what was discussed. Wrote a two page letter to management two months ago regarding encounters and have received zero response… yet they have no issues with sending me reminders that payment is overdue.

New Billing Service Issues-I have been a patient of this facility for over 40 years and have never not paid a bill. In 2021 I had three anthem policies. The primary cover the basics and the second and third covered the co-pays and deductibles. I provided notice that I was working with a supervisor at anthem and gave the reference number to get the co-pay of $25 properly paid. Instead of contacting the rep at anthem or me after I provided notice they turned it over to collections. I am very unhappy about this situation since I have made numerous phone calls to get the correct amount paid.

I rarely leave reviews for places but I absolutely love the Team at Kentucky Dermatology. I just finished my first round of Accutane with Lizzy and I’m incredibly happy with the results(not even one pimple in the last 2 months). The whole staff is kind and doesn’t treat you like a idiot for asking questions. I go back to see Janie for a Artic peel on January. I had my free consult today and she looked at my problem areas that I wanted treated. She didn’t push me for the more expensive treatment. She listened to what I wanted done and we discussed the benefits. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

I like my doctor and staff but the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. My appointment was at 3:20 and I didn’t not get pulled into a room until 4:20, an hour later! This is the second time this has happened. It is a shame because like I said, I am satisfied with the treatment but it’s not fair to the patient to have them waiting up to an hour. I don’t know if it’s an issue of scheduling but something needs to be done.

I had an abnormal patch of skin removed from my back at the Richmond office. They sent it out to the lab. It came back, and they called and told me that it had moderately abnormal cells. So they wanted to operate and remove the surrounding skin. I had Medicaid at that time. I couldn’t see them again till another month. In the meantime, my Presumptive Eligibility for Medicaid had expired. But Medicaid renewed it until October 31. My surgery was scheduled for today, August 26th. Unfortunately, I have misplaced my new Presumptive Eligibility paper from Medicaid showing that it was good till the end of October. I told the girls at the desk that. As soon as I mentioned phoning Medicaid to see if they would FAX the form, one girl was already writing down their FAX # (knowing good and well that Medicaid would refuse to FAX anything)! But I had Medicaid on speaker phone and the girls at the desk heard her say that they could call Medicaid and get my Medicaid ID # so they could bill them. They refused, insisting that they needed a paper form! I even asked them to call a manager at the Lexington office. One girl did, but the manager evidently told her the same thing. I even offered to pay for the operation out-of-pocket, but they refused!!! I drove 100 miles altogether from London and back for nothing!!! There was also another patient there before me who couldn’t find her Medicaid paper, and she didn’t get help either. So, because of their PATHETIC need for a piece of paper, I couldn’t get my surgery done!!! I will never go there again!!! I have an appointment with an actual Dr. here in London! DON’T BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!
