Dr Mangat is a wonderful person. I started with Botox back in May of 17. I was amazed. Since then I had to go back three times for a correction. The office is always busy with her allergy patients. She comes in to the private room for cosmetic procedures in between serving her allergy patients . There is no appoinment. You get whatever time she has until her next allergy patient. I believe cosmetic procedures are not her niche. I am very displeased. Actually I am terribly upset. I will not return. She has a record of where injections are on my forehead. For some reason she still injects in different areas each time. I am not a medical professional. I do know I have an 80 year old uncle with no forehead wrinkles. Botox works for him. I am NOWHERE near 80. Botox has worked for me in the past. It has not worked for me since my 2nd visit with Dr. Mangat. I am tired of excuses. When a teenage employee comes in the office and questions and prescreens your grievence about your past visits , then Dr. Mangat uses her opinion to determine if she is going to recharge me for a failed previous session? I would suggest going to a Cosmetic Doctor. Not an Allergy Doctor if you need Botox. I have had PDO Threads with Dr. Mangat. Do NOT waste your money. The new aesthetician there has no people skills. She is insulting and unprofessional. She my as well called me a liar. Please do not go there. In my opinion Dr. Mangat should take more time with her cosmetic procedures. She took a weekend course and performed a HORRIBLE job on PDO threads. I could not believe she had the nerve to ask me for more money after her 3rd failed attempt at Botox. When you spend almost $500.00 and come back two weeks later and she wants to charge you almost $80.00 more! Wow! I only had a forehead issue. It seems worse now then when I received the injections.

Great experience! I’m 57 and left feeling 47. Came in for botox and fillers: have always wanted lips. Had fillers one other time and left disappointed. Dr. Mangat is not only a skilled technician, she is an artist. I left with lines around my mouth erased and perfectly sculpted lips; they were just right.

I found this place because I purchased a Groupon for a chemical peel in 2013. I live in Wesley Chapel which is about an hour and fifteen minutes from St. Pete. I am so happy with the treatment that I receive at MD Skin Effects. Karen is an amazing person, and very caring. I have been back several times since I purchased the Groupon and to me, the drive is worth it. The results from the peels and facials I have gotten are enough to keep me coming back, and the friendliness and warmth of the staff are just icing on the cake. I will never go anywhere else for my skincare needs!

I will not be returning here. I originally went here for a consultation for sun spots that I have on both sides of my face. After research and talking with estheticians and dermatologists and friends, I had determined that IPL would be the best thing to do, as I have tried numerous cremes and a lactic peel and microdermabrasions and have had hardly any effects from any of them. I advised both Kyla and Dr. Mangat of this in my initial visit. They then advised me that due to the “lightness” of my sun spots, IPL would only make them darker and they then proceeded to talk me into a $350 session of Microneedling instead (which I have heard of and had heard positive things of everything they described). Kyla and I both took “before” pictures, upon my suggestion. I need to track results so I can see my value coming through. The session itself was fine, a little painful but that is expected. I turned red as expected and healed within 2 days, 3 days in some spots. Kyla was good in the session, explaining everything she was doing and that my skin was reacting as expected. She explained that collagen and other healing would take about 3-4 weeks so it could turn a “cycle”. I confirmed this with another esthetician later. We booked a follow up touchbase for 3 weeks later. 1 week after, I see no change. 2 weeks, no change. 3 weeks later, I see no change in my face. All wrinkles are still there and very visible and the same depth. All of my sun spots are still clearly visible with no noticeable lightening. I am clearly disappointed and express that I am very unhappy with the results. I fully believe that I did not get any effectiveness from this procedure. I’ve seen more fading from my Retinol A lotion. Kyla and I then proceeded to have a visit long disagreement over my results as we looked at both of our “before” pics and she was trying so hard to get me to see a difference in pictures where the lighting in the photo is obviously different and the rest of my skin on my face was actually a little darker since I had been outside (with sunscreen and a hat) and I believe that the sun spots only blended in to give an impression of fading. I look in my face every day in the mirror and would know if I see an improvement. She and the doctor have seen me one time and are selling me that they can see a very noticeable improvement and then proceed to tell me that I need 2-3 more microneedling sessions at $350 a pop. There was no offering at my unhappiness, no matter how many times I expressed it, but here, you can buy yet one more creme at over $130 (which I bought and of course am having buyer’s remorse). Please do your research before going here or anywhere else for your cosmetic procedures as I will admit that I did not. Get all of your prices and quotes ahead of time. Get second, third or fourth opinions before getting any work done. Do not do your work at the consultation visit. Schedule the session for another time so you can take time to think about it and feel right about following through. Understand that most of these “fixes” do require multiple sessions. MD Skin Effects is part of an ENT office that offers these cosmetic services on the side. Look into a Med Spa only office or go to your Dermatologist office for quotes.
