Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueMy experience at this salon was extremely poor. I bought the package with the Haircut, Deep Condition, Single Process Color, and Blowout off groupon. I want to start off by saying i was eager for this app so i showed up 15 min early but was told to wait 20 min past my set app- 35 min waiting so a little disappointing. I got Michelle who seemed nice enough but told me it’d be an extra 30 for the dye because my hair is long? I didn’t question it because they seemed to be very expensive so i agreed. When she goes to dye my hair, she doesn’t brush it for some reason making the application process very painful and she ripped out some hair because of how mine is. I’m a very quiet person when it comes to these situations because of my anxiety so I didn’t say anything. She said to wait 30 minutes for the dye and so I waited outside with my friend. I come back and wait another 15 to get my hair washed by another woman while Michelle us doing a whole other haircut and blowout. The woman who washed my hair was an short older woman and she was very gentle and kind, I liked her. But I told her about the deep conditioning and it never really happened it was just a normal shampoo and conditioner then rinse. I felt my hair once she had gone and it still felt as though it had no moisture to it, like i said my hair is thin. Another 15 minutes pass and Michelle us still not ready seeing as they spread themselves to thin. My appointment was at 1 and I finally got to leave at 4 so three hours stuck there and half of the time waiting on her to finish up a job she should’ve done before taking another client to set more professional standards. When she finally cuts my LONG hair she says I have a lot of split ends so I tell her to chop off the 1 inch she showed me. She was definitely scissor crazy and i was watching her cut more and more because of how uneven each side kept coming out.. My hair was up to the lowest part of my back and it is now shoulder length. I hated it so much and on top of that I asked if she could do a simple blowout like my groupon said with the little curl at the bottom just with the round brush. She couldn’t manage to do that either. She was blowing against the hair so there was really no volume but she tried picking at the roots with her fingers for the temporary fix. Then when I went to pay was the breaking point; I tell Michelle i’m going to get my card and she says ok!!! and nothing more then when i come back another woman tells me “it’s 30 dollars but we don’t accept cards” and well i came with a groupon vouching for single process color but my hair that was chopped off in the end bumped up the price from 70 to 100. A scam. I stilled tipped her 10. Never again, I recommend salons with Dominican stylists, they know how to handle any type of hair and are more reasonably priced with promise to their word.
