Unfortunately this location has gotten very bad over the last year or so. No one answers the phones anymore, so leave a message to get a call back. There’s virtually no massage availability due to low staff. I’ve had 4 or 5 appointments canceled over 10 weeks. I know some of this can be due to things outside the management control, but after 3 months it keeps getting worse, not better. I’d have settled for the same even.

If I can give them a zero I would. I have been trying for several months (since June!) to cancel my membership with no success. I’ve called and left several messages, I’ve stopped by and spoke to the manager Mike, he was no help! I met with the owner Andrea, she promised to send me the cancellation documentation, it is now August and I have yet to receive it. I also reached out to the corporate office, and they were no help since all of these are franchised, they wiped their hands of it and will not been help at all! I don’t know what else to do. I’m going to the BBB next. But if you attend the Massage Envy near Arundel Mills, Columbia, Ellicott city, they are all owned by Andrea. RUN!! They never have any available appointments anyways!

Tired of not being able to schedule appointments because of non availability. Service is mediocre at best, but I’m just incredibly tired of having a subscription that I literally can’t use. I literally have a year’s worth of backlog credit that is impossible to use. You’re better off finding a legitimate spa and paying the extra money because this place is not worth the hassle.

Thank you. I was abruptly canceled for an appointment from one Envy site but after much debate the desk attendant located an opening at the Columbia Envy. So a bad experience turned out to be the best massage in my life thus far. Amanda was truly awesome. One day later my body has responded extremely well to the work she performed. Unfortunately for me that it could only be a 60 not 90 minute session, which by the way are booked out, like forever-understandably.

Critical: CommunicationThe facility and staff at the front desk were very nice and professional. The massage itself was very good although it was supposed to be 60 minutes but actually only lasted about 45. Tarlana might want to change her approach with clients. Her tone was very negative and judge mental. Part of what made a massage necessary is stress. Her critique of me having a desk job and disapproval of running as my exercise of choice didn’t alleviate that. The massage therapists are all fabulously excellent at their jobs. However, as a very long time client, getting appointments, is nearly impossible, which apparently is due to the archaic Massage Envy corporation’s scheduling software. ME corporate bosses need to stop mandating that their franchise locations “renovate” their locations every 5 years & instead corporate bosses need to provide usable software tools to their franchise owners & clients.

The office has taken precautions during the pandemic, with social distancing floor stickers in the entrance, masks on all employees, and masks on for patrons. I filled out a quick Covid symptoms survey before I entered and another upon arrival. Before the appointment, I was given a simple questionnaire to fill out to note preferences, areas they should focus on in my massage, and it was quick and straightforward.My massage therapist, Gayle was ready on time, introduced herself, and asked me further questions about what I would like out of my session. She was very communicative and a pleasure to chat with, although it’s worth noting that the majority of the massage other than when I opted to say something wasn’t spent talking – which for me is my preference so I can focus on relaxing. While the whole massage was wonderful, I especially enjoyed her skilled scalp and neck massage. The music was a good volume and the lotions and oils smelled lovely.
