He’s a honest and great hairstylist! My hair are naturally curled and I wanted to bleach/color and straight perm my hair. He did an absolutely amazing job on both without damaging my hair at all. I tried other salons, they were either lied about the effectiveness or damaged my hair. Bonus – he’s a quiet guy, doesn’t talk much during my 3 hours process, love it! And he’s super punctual, not a minute wasted.

I have long been looking for a hair stylist that will cut my hair the way I want – intricate layers with side bangs. My hair was quite long, reaches my waist so I was looking for someone who could go ham and give me the layers I was looking for. I found Masaki online and I took the risk – he checked my hair first as well as the 3 pictures of my pegs. After which, he went to wash my hair (I didn’t know that he would do this so this came as a surprise) and he dried my hair and started cutting – intricately and on point. He styled my hair to my liking and I was so happy to see the end product! Also, the product he uses has some quality, made my hair soft and light. I will definitely be back.

I am a cheapo when it comes to hair but I decided to take care of it this time. I wanted a single process color and wanted something that wouldn’t damage my hair. So I found Masa Hair. When I mentioned what shade I wanted he was helpful and let me know what would be possible for my hair in that current state. So I trusted him. My results were great! He seemed very meticulous and serious while doing my hair which I appreciate. He also washed my hair after the coloring and it was so relaxing! I was afraid I might fall asleep.

Literally the best haircut I’ve ever had. He was meticulous in cutting my hair, particularly after he blow dried it. He cut every wisp to the exact shape he wanted. To my surprise, after going home, washing it and not blow drying it or applying any product, every wisp still holds the shape. Came for first time to Masa for a haircut. The Japanese are very detailed and that’s why my wife and I both went to him. My wife liked the haircut and so did I. Will come back again for next haircut. Highly recommend. Masa himself is very quiet and listens.

Masa does really wonderful haircut, especially for people who want more of a layered haircut. I have thin, wavy hair and if not layered well, it’s very difficult to manage and style. However, Masa always makes sure to give the perfect haircut, and I always gets lots of compliments. I moved away recently to Virgina, but in my 2 day visit to NY, I made sure to book an appointment with my favorite hairstylist! Thank you Masa!
