Manta’s Cuts Kids Salon is a unique children’s salon that is best-in-class and fits into Wilmington’s beach lifestyle. We provide a fun, entertaining environment that caters to all ages to ease the task of family haircuts. Our pedicure and manicure area was developed for kids but designed with adults in mind to accommodate the growing desire for parent and child dates. The wooden boats scattered thru out the salon are there to create an inviting environment that kids look forward to visiting.

This is our first time coming here and it was also my baby girl’s first haircut. Laura did her hair and I really love how it turned out! Laura knew what she was doing and was just so friendly to myself and my baby girl! She has so much patience, so as a mom I am truly grateful for that. I took my daughter for a haircut and mommy & me pedicures yesterday and she loved it there and Emilee did a great job, my daughter loves her hair and toenails. The only negative part was that I felt the pedicures are priced above their worth. Their pedicure consists of a soak for the kid and warm towels for mom, a lotion massage, and nail polish. It’s fun but I don’t think it’s worth the price.

A kid friendly salon with some nice features. My son loves the pirate boat to play on and the TVs at each station. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly. My feedback would be the salon needs some updating. The streamers from the ceiling and random wall products date the place. A little modernization would help.

My daughter had her 7th birthday here and loved the experience. I enjoyed the experience myself but thought that the events during the birthday could have been more elaborate to reflect the price paid. Facials were just swipes of mud on forehead and dots on cheeks, and the “treasure hunt” was just gems located in the same spot not throughout the store as described. The girls found all gems in 5 seconds flat. I also felt that the party helpers could have been more hands on. I had to serve my own food and cupcakes but had to pay 18% gratuity along with paying for the party. Would definitely use a spa experience again for my daughter, but it wouldn’t be this one.

We’ve been going here for years to get our daughters’ haircuts. I think Manta’s is great for little kids who can’t sit still and/or don’t want a haircut. For tweens and teens, I don’t recommend. For the past several times we’ve gone there now that my kids are older, we have had the same experience. They rush through the haircut process even though my daughters have thick hair that requires time to cut it thoroughly and evenly. It takes them 5-10 minutes to cut my kids’ hair and then they rush us out the door with a cursory “are the haircuts ok?” once I’m already paying. They have their credit card payments set so that if you pay by card, the lowest tip you can leave is 25% which is presumptuous and too high given the time and service received.
