I got haircut and highlights here from Lindsey and she is amazing at both! She goes extra mile to make sure your hair style needs are met and also gives awesome advice on what will look good on your hair. Definitely recommend.

I was a walk in early afternoon, no wait time! I had Had a wonderful experience with Cassie! She gave me a great cut and was very accommodating to my circumstances. The salon was patient with my children and even helped me keep them entertained so I could get a much needed cut. I lost about 7 inches of split ends that needed to go! I would definitely go back and recommend this salon to friends

First time visit and will definitely return. Terri was an amazing and gifted stylist. My hair has a lot of “cow licks” and can be quite unmanageable. She was able to cut it in a manner that brought it under control and left me with a nice professional cut. First stylist I have had who could pull that off. The salon is a great space with large windows and a nice view of downtown Minneapolis. Friendly professional staff. I definitely recommend it.

Updated to add: Madison and Co is doing a stellar job at staying extra sanitary after being able to reopen! Every stylist was keeping a 6ft distance from one another and kept masks on for my entire 3 hour visit. I was so impressed with Cassie as she was extra cautious and I was so impressed with her cleaning and sanitizing. I will continue to recommend this salon to friends as it is simply the best! ———

Critical: QualityI got my hair cut at Madison & Co. over 3 months ago and I am still incredibly upset and distressed about my experience. What the hairdresser did to my hair is unacceptable. I went in with very thick and healthy hair and left with thin, limp, stringy hair – she thinned out about 9/10th of the thickness! She also did not communicate that she was going to razor it, which is a look I sincerely dislike. Reactions I have gotten from friends and family include, “Are you sick?! Your hair is so thin!” and, “Why would a hairdresser purposely do that? Are they new to the profession?”I am absolutely devastated, especially because it could take YEARS to restore my hair’s original thickness. She thinned out SO much of my hair that in the last 3 months it has barely changed in appearance and still looks thin and sickly. In a world with an entire industry built around products that thicken and add volume to hair, what hairstylist thinks it’s okay to thin out a patron’s hair to such an extreme degree, particularly without communicating this first??It pains me to write this because I like and respect this hairstylist as a person. However, if you don’t want you hair ruined, do not go to this salon.Services: Hair coloring, HairstylingI got my hair cut at Madison & Co. over 3 months ago and I am still incredibly upset and distressed about my experience. Debra has cut, styled and colored my hair for several years. After almost every visit, some person unknown to me stops me to tell me how fabulous my hair looks, particularly the color and highlights. When I have been forced to use another stylist while traveling, Debra shares her color formula with the out of town stylists, and at those other salons, she is declared by the professionals to be a rock star! They are amazed at her innate ability to combine various colors to create a smashing result, often resulting in a request to take a picture and keep a copy of her formula. I would recommend Debra, without hesitation, to anyone.

I was hesitant to write a review but decided I would so someone else would not have the same experience. I went to Madison & Co downtown hoping to find a salon near work. I went for a color with bleach. It was AWFUL. First, I had to tell Debra my hair needed to be toned. She had combed it out and asked what I thought. It was orange – it clearly needed toning yet I had to tell her. Thankfully I have friends and family in the industry so I was sending them messages during this appointment to help me. The process took forever far longer than it has ever taken me to have a color done (4+ hours). Second, I had cheetah marks. Whatever she did she did not evenly distribute the color through the strands of hair – she dabbed them on. I could not wear my hair down as it had a giant cheetah spot on the side. Not only did I leave with orange colored hair I also had spots. Debra is on their website as a hair color employee – I would expect to have better hair color than what looked like a bad box dye – oh and cost me over $300. Thankfully I was able to have it fixed at a different salon.

Great atmosphere for people who love salons. Be sure to ask for Lindsay to do your salon services, she is well worth every penny because of her professionalism and attention to detail of hairstyle , skin care and nails. I enjoyed my first real pedicure, very relaxing. Also Rachel is another one to check out if you want some unique done on you for the ladies.

Madison & Co was able to squeeze me in for a very last minute (& desperately needed) bleach and tone. Cassie took amazing care of me; as did everyone in this lovely shop. I’ve never left a salon feeling 100% satisfied with my color until coming here. If you’re a blonde looking for someone that knows what they’re doing – look no further!
