I was searching for a new, local nail salon after having a less-than-great experience elsewhere when I came across Lovely Nails online. I called and asked for an appointment and they booked me, with a super friendly attitude, for a couple of days later. When I arrived I was very happy to walk into a pleasant environment without super overwhelming smells, sights or sounds and an extremely clean and well organized salon. I was greeted with a smile and sat down to pick my dip powder colors, and within a few minutes I was seated at my booth and getting started. The man (the owner) that did my manicure that night was incredibly kind and talkative, not making me feel awkward or like I was a bother one single time (you’d think this should be a given, but I also think we’ve ALL sat in a nail salon chair and been ignored for an hour while the tech chatted away with coworkers, feeling as though we had to be silent and that we were somehow being done a huge favor while paying for a service). He asked me questions about myself to get to know me but didn’t pry, updated me every step of the way and let me know when he had to step over to take care of a phone call or the register, which wasn’t an issue at all. He also made it very clear, after asking me what made me switch salons (I didn’t name my old one and he didn’t ask me to, but he did ask if it had been local), that he only takes people by appointment and if a walk-in arrives, he tells them that they’ll have to make an appointment and come back or wait to see if he has any openings/cancellations. This was a relief, as I’d been made to wait every month at my old salon for walk-ins that showed up right before me even though I ALWAYS made an appointment ahead of time (I’m talking I’d arrive 10 min early for an appointment and a walk-in that arrived a minute or so before me would get taken care of first, resulting in my waiting for at least 30 min, oftentimes longer–for an APPOINTMENT), which never made sense to me. On top of great customer service, my mani looked PERFECT. He did it so well that I couldn’t believe I’d ever gone anywhere else! (My old salon did an amazing job, too! They just weren’t too nice nor were the punctual.) I will keep coming back to Lovely Nails as long as I’m living in the area! I’m booking a mani/pedi for this weekend, tomorrow, as a matter of fact! My first experience there was just last month and I haven’t forgotten how comfortable and cared for they made me feel. Great job, y’all!

Hate to have to write this but want others to be aware. I loveeeee this salon but my last set was disappointing…. I took a long break from getting my nails done and they remembered me right off the bat when i came in. they seemed to be in a rush and filled my nails extremely rough it really was uncomfortable. To make a long story short my nails looked great when they were done but the next day they cracked! every single one was a crack across them and within days the tips popped off two and the other ones came off right behind them just from slight force. it seemed like they didn’t glue them well at all. Normally my nails are so strong when they do them but these literally crumbled i got all my nails completely off with ease didn’t have to soak them at all… not sure if they are using new products or they just didn’t cure like they normally do? People make mistakes but for $50 i expect a little more. Gotten my nails done plenty enough to know when a set isn’t done right.
