This was my second time going to Liz’s Hair Care. When I walked in I was told at the front desk who would be washing and styling my hair. Both ladies were friendly and gentle and they asked me what I wanted. I liked the atmosphere and I liked seeing the different hair styles on the stylists. It was my first time getting my hair styled in this way and I loved it!

I had recently chopped all my heat damaged hair and finally had healthy 4C hair.

I’ve gone to Liz’s hair care 3 times now – hoping to go a 4th time soon 🙂 I’ve gotten a blowout and braids twice. These were taken 5 weeks apart! Miriam did my braids the first time and I wish I had pictures because she did a phenomenal job. Hoping she’ll be able to braid my hair again soon. These were done by 2 younger people (I’m sorry I forgot their names, it’s been a while and I meant ot write this review weeks ago). The hair was a little too heavy in the end (I asked for long braids) but I enjoyed the hair style and got many compliments. I also really like that it’s full service when I get my hair braided, with hair washed, conditioned and detangled!

One of the best parts of moving back to Boston is having Liz to take care of my hair and now my children’s. She is gifted and professional and pays close attention to all her stylists work. Not cheap but her braids last six weeks so we’ll worth the expense! My daughters hair has never been this healthy before! Kids’ cuts, Blowdry, Hair hydration treatments, Hairstyling

Great people, nice service! Clients are mostly women with lots of styling jobs, but they still always happily accommodate a men’s cut (me ) at earliest convenience! This has fixed my issues of having to hop around looking for a place for quick and easy haircut, which even great clips (by Northeastern, now closed) was becoming problematic. So Liz’s appear to be skilled at much higher forms of service, but they still graciously welcome me always!

Amazing service and care. Literally went for my first time today and I couldn’t be happier with Donnette and Jeannie (Liz’s mom). If you haven’t gone and want your natural styled with care, please book immediately! 🙂

This is my go-to salon for natural care and styling. The stylist go by appointment, so you don’t end up spending all day in the salon because your stylist is working on multiple heads. I also like Liz’s Hair Care because they use quality products. I highly recommend a salon.

unprofessional, inattentive, and dangerous to go for natural hair. my recent appointment 11/23 has ruined my hair. I had over a month ago started locs with them here, expecting a more professional environment I scheduled a appointment for retwist. I explained over the phone my routine and how much I’ve been taking care of them since and was assured they’d go in to my notes as a returning customer (I’ve been going here for months) so they can properly be taken care of. I arrived for my scheduled appointment and was asked NOTHING, not once did they look at my locs, not once did they see HOW they were locing, nothing. They placed me under a faucet and completely washed my hair out, they never banded it, make sure my roots were still in place, NOTHING. The person who washed my hair even went as far as explain to me why my hair (4a) is too soft and I shouldn’t be doing this.

I’ll start by saying it is a friendly atmosphere. I went in for a silk press and trim, but was very disappointed. I wish I was told upfront that interns would be doing my hair. If I wanted interns I would have gone to a beauty school to get my hair experimented on. For the amount of money I paid plus tip, I expected a professional with experience.

The quality was absolutely the worst. I cannot believe they think this acceptable and sent someone out their doors looking like this. After paying $260.00 (plus a tip) my daughter left and called me in tears. She is a college student, new to the area and read reviews on-line before selecting this salon. The front is much shorter than the back, the consistency of the braids are uneven (loose, then tight), the parts aren’t straight, they even left her own hair out!!! Fair warning people- the work speaks for itself!
