I have been a loyal client of Leonia Hair Shop for over 5 years. Sarah, who owns the business, is the consumate Professional. She is an extremely talented Colorist as well as Stylist. Her husband, Chris, is also extremely talented, he has a side corner dedicated to male clients of all ages but FYI, he’s also amazing with a women’s blowout and flatiron and he’s even jumped in to do my roots a few times when Sarah needed an extra set of hands. This place is the epitome of a local, female- owned and operated, family business. She makes sure everyone wears a good quality mask at all times, both staff and customers and respects all Covid safety protocols. Prices are quite reasonable and the vibe is nice and mellow, making all feel welcome and like her “Best Customer.” (She also specializes in Keratin treatments.)

A neighborhood stalwart for many years, it used to be a men only barbershop, but now is renovated and provides services for both men and women. They do great work for men, only $20 a haircut and I’ve yet to find a barbershop that does anywhere nearly as good work at that price. Highly recommended!!

New clients beware!! This place was recommended to me. Scheduled my kids’ haircut appts with owner Sarah. Arrived to find my appts had been booted due to a more $$$$ keratin treatment on another client at my appt time (client overheard saying “thanks for squeezing me in!”) You’d think they’d want to make a good impression on a new client But I guess they care more about their VIP important customers!
