I went for a hair consultation with Alexis. She kept telling me how she wants my hair rather than listening to what I wanted. She kept telling me she was trained in my hair type but wouldnt directly andwer any questions I had about the cut. She went as far as to say “if you want someone that looks like you to do your hair..”. I went into this salon because it was recommended by another stylist and had good reviews. I hadn’t seen anything mentioned about race or skin color but after my visit , I canceled my appointment and won’t be going back. It doesn’t matter what I look like, you either can do the job or can’t and to be made to feel bad because I looked different is obscenely rude and uncalled for. I am a 24 yr old mixed woman. I grew up in this area and was excited to finally find an establishment trained in curly hair. If I knew my skin color was going to be mentioned or brought up, I wouldnt have stepped foot in this place to begin with.

This girl, Lexie, is 24 years old and has more skill than any makeup artist I have ever encountered. Her technique was delicate and enjoyable, executed with complete confidence. Everything about my makeup was exceptional, she made me look exquisite and I still looked like me. I was just in a wedding and we came here for hair and make up – everything was great! The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is super cute. Every single one of us loved our hair/make up and we got so many compliments throughout the night! Highly recommend Lavish to any bridal party!

I went in to get my hair straightened out from a bad at home cut and paid $45. I barely even got half an inch taken off. I think that’s too expensive for the service that was done. On the brighter side, the lady that was doing my hair was very nice and so I was greeted warmly by the woman at the front desk as well. All in all, you’re better off going to Lana’s salon or Fusion hair design for a haircut.

Great operation! The staff and owners are just lovely. The gift shop has a well curated selection of gifts and goods, and the salon is top notch. I bring my wife in all the way from New York City, just so she can have her hair done by Christian. It’s totally worth the trip, we always have a great experience here!
