I finally was able to have a maternity photo shoot with my last child. We also have a blended family and don’t have pictures of our whole family yet even though our youngest is 2. This was so important to me I prepaid for everything including my makeup appointment. I don’t know what I am doing with make up. I was called an hour before my appointment and told my stylist was sick. Totally understandable, but then was ask if I could schedule for another day or time. I told them when my pictures were and their only response was I am sorry then we can’t do your makeup. I then had to call back because and ask for my money back because they didn’t even look to see I had prepaid. Careful if you have something important scheduled there is not a back plan in place to ensure you will get your service.

The stylists are fantastic and I have been a customer for awhile. But I was asked to give my credit card to keep on file so that I can be charged if I cancel. When I refused (I always pay cash) I was told that I could no longer book appointments. I don’t leave my credit card information with anyone. If this policy is to reduce cancellations then the company should work directly with those customers that have a history of cancelling. The majority of customers that are “regulars” will treat their stylists well and reschedule. I will take my business elsewhere.

I didn’t wanted to post any reviews but I am just so upset. I can’t I have to say this. I had booked 3 appointments for my kids today paying a 50% deposit for keeping this appointment because I was a new client. My daughters have long hairs all of them. I went there waited for the person to get my daughter to cut her hair. She came out don’t know her name because she didn’t introduce herself it seems like she was mad when she looked at the hair she had to deal with . She looked at the hair and said she needs more time she can’t do this cause she has other person coming in. At that she left I was thinking that she is trying to figure out what we will be doing and let me know so I waited thinking that okay the other 2 will get there hair cut and we might have to re schedule. They didn’t come look at what we are doing with the other 2. The appointments were booked and 3 different hair stylist were cutting there hair. So this place is not people friendly only the front desk person was good. She did her job whatever she had take care of. I don’t know about other people in there but none of them fulfill there schedule appointments. They told me I have to re schedule everyone. So this place need to learn how to answer calls and ask questions like how long your hair is because technically they realize they need more time when your at the appointment. A day wasted and nothing accomplished.

I feel very safe every time I get my eyebrows done by Alyssa, as she sanitizes everything before and after each client, and all of the staff and guests are wearing masks. Cleanest shop I’ve been in by far since the re-openings. I would highly recommend a visit to John Robert’s!! Being a licensed cosmetologist myself I have a high expectation when finding someone to do my hair. John Robert’s salon met that expectation and went beyond it! The entire staff was friendly and the receptionist was awesome! Always had a genuine smile on her face and made you feel welcome! I have an important event coming up and Lisa was able to get me in immediately. She was very accommodating when scheduling me on such short notice. She was professional, paid attention to detail and made sure she answered any and all of my questions. I definitely plan on going back to this salon!! BTW I had fusion hair extensions installed and THEY ARE TO DIE FOR ♥️

This place is a gem! I’ve salon hopped quite a bit over the years, I never found a place that I felt consistently did a good job… until I found John Roberts of Solon! I came here out of desperation from a botched balayage, where a different salon spent 3 hours turning my hair orange and required that I make a second appointment to finish the process. My sister’s wedding was in 2 weeks and I didn’t trust them to fix it, so instead I saw Stephanie at John Roberts. She literally turned my orange hair into the most perfect balayage in like under an hour. I never make an appointment with the same hair stylist, because no matter who I see, the results are always great… and I’m pretty picky! Since then I’ve gotten great waxes here, and I will only ever go here for my nails – Terri is freaking fantastic! I went from getting my nails done just for special occasions, to getting a shellac every 2-3 weeks. No more salon hopping for me. ❤❤❤

I’ve been going to John Robert‘s for at least 16 years just to get my eyebrows waxed by the most dedicated professional always fun to see and talk to Alyssa !!! No one is allowed to touch my eyebrows when she goes on vacation. I just have to look a hot mess shebis that good.. I get so many compliments about how good my eyebrows look people ask me where I get them done. Always punctual if she’s running a few minutes late she always apologizes but she’s just always happy and a pleasure to be with . I just love going to John Robert‘s it is such a happy place very relaxed everybody’s cheerful & nice and. Alyssa is worth every dime and she is worth every tip!! I will never leave her long as she doesn’t live with me .

I have been coming to JR for 15 years! I have never left unhappy. I have gone to, or go to Alissa, Jen, Nikki, Kira, Regina, Erica, Tina, Heather and have always received exceptional service and customer care. Everyone there seems to go above and beyond. The front desk is always professional, and Maja is always friendly and efficient. I’m so happy to be right up the street from such a great place!

This rating does not reflect all staff at John Roberts, but mainly a particular esthetician I have seen over the years. I used to see her religiously every 2 weeks for waxing services, but over the last year or so, I have switched from getting my brows waxed to threading. When I made the switch, I was open with her and let her know that I would not going to be soliciting her services anymore for my brows and upper lip but would see her still for other needs. That was the day the switch flipped. I am 100% sure she knows how her attitude and treatment towards me has gotten progressively worse and the few appointments I had since then were awkward and I never had a good experience. Since then, I switched to another esthetician at the salon who is very sweet , nice and really took care of me. Today though was the last straw. The esthetician I have been seeing was on vacation so I went back to my former esthetician here and experience was just terrible. She barely greeted me, seemed hasseled that I asked for a mirror to talk about what I wanted done today and at the end, on the right side of my cheek, I now have a wax burn. So that’s it. Never going back to this place and I would warn future customers that it seems that the staff gets bitchy towards you if see other people at the salon or outside and pretty openly show animosity towards you. Very disappointed that customer experience wasn’t a priority and it became a personal thing. I would happily now be taking my business elsewhere.
