Took my 5 year old to get his hair cut. Gracie did wonderfully! He was squirming all over the place, I tried all the bribes to get him to sit still but Gracie handled him so well and was so patient! His hair looks better than ever and we will be going back to her regularly. We highly recommend Gracie (she does fantastic with adults too)! Thank you Miss Grace!

If I could only give a ZERO STAR! This business allows corporate attacks on smaller business they feel are a threat.I was appalled that the management allowed an incident with one of their stylists where she harassed and terrorized another hair salon within the mall. I was witness to this attack. It absolutely felt like a staged attack from JCPenny Salon my perspective. JCPenny, you should be ashamed! I hope the proper charges are filed against you!

Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismMy stylist was Heather Cunnngham. I received a silk press on 4c/4a/4b coils. I’m very pleased with the results. I also chopped off 4 inches of dead ends. I have collar bone length hair again but at least it’s healthy. I am sure it looks better too, the hair is bouncy, light, shiny with a beautiful scent! Love it!

The ONLY reason this got a star is because I couldn’t give it a negative rating and I had to give it a full one in order to post! My seven year old granddaughter came in the DAY before her seventh birthday and her first day of first grade. She was with her great grandmother. Her hair was BUTCHERED!! I don’t mean uneven, I mean a three inch hunk was cut out of it!! Like it isn’t hard enough for kids today! My daughter has called the salon with a promise of a call back from the salon manager, no call has come and this was on the sixth of August, today is the eighth!! I always thought Penney’s was professionals, I was wrong!! Please think and rethink taking your child here, especially if you want their hair to look respectable!! If you want to pay for it then have to go home and shave it, then feel free!! I wish that I was being over-dramatic!!!

My girlfriend had color removal done on her hair (from red to light brunette) and after the procedure was done, there were tons of redness left in her hair. She asked for a re-do but they declined, so she had to get her hair done in a different place. The other place’s hair stylist was shocked to see her hair in such a horrible condition. Total waste of $90. Never go to this place for color, they’re by no means professional.

Critical: QualityMy regular barber was unavailable to cut my hair due to an illness so I figured JC Penney would be a good choice. Boy, was I wrong. I was needing a haircut for a wedding the next day and told the “stylist” this and asked for a simple zero fade with the top being finger length with scissors. This was met with several questions about what guard I wanted and what the longest one that would be ok. I told her several times I wanted a zero fade so no guard. I thought she finally understood. She didn’t. Half of my fade was zero guard then the upper part of my sides was half an inch longer. I asked her to fix it. She “did”. After asking her to fix several other areas because it still looked terrible I was asked if I wanted her to do the areas around my ears and my neck line. Silly me, after 37 years of haircuts I thought that was just part of it. I told her he’s then asked for a shampoo because I could still see lots of uneven hairs. After the shampoo I pointed out several areas that were incredibly uneven. She again “fixed” them. I finally gave up on any hope of her fixing this. I paid, reluctantly, for this monstrosity of a haircut. I was resigned to going home and shaving my head before I decided to go to another barber shop. The stylist there told me this was the worst fade she’s seen in 30 years of cutting hair. Thankfully she was able to fix the haircut. Not only did I have the most embarrassing haircut I could imagine from your “salon” I also ended up having to pay for a second haircut on the same day.Service: HaircutMy regular barber was unavailable to cut my hair due to an illness so I figured JC Penney would be a good choice. I would give them a negative rating if I could. My wife’s grandmother took my step daughter in for a hair cut and they absolutely BUTCHERED her hair! Its uneven and looks like a 3 year old got ahold of some scissors.
