Sophia (the owner) is absolutely amazing and a fantastic hair stylist! I have very curly short hair (3C curls, chin length) and often run into issues finding people who know what to do with it. Sophia is an absolute master at doing color. Many stylists can achieve JUST a beautiful hair color, but the key is also matching the color to a person’s complexion so that it flatters them. Sophia does it all, and perfectly. I now fly in from several states away to have her do my hair.

My wife had been butchered by a chain salon and was left looking like a 90s boy band member. The following day we researched local salons and was lucky enough to book a last minute appointment at J. Vincent. Her stylist, Sophia, turned her back into my beautiful happy wife in under 20mins. Sophia put a smile back on her face and confidence in her step. Highly recommend not only the salon but Sophia. The wife said that it’s very difficult to find a stylist that can do short hair and lamented that we wouldn’t be able to make her the permanent stylist because we’re passing through California. Book early, she only works Sunday but well worth the wait. Thank you J.V and Sophia.

I went here for my first ever hair bleach and coloring. What a great time! The owner, Jose, and the other staff are friendly and the environment is spacious, but cozy and classy. Jose is skilled when it comes to selecting and mixing dye colors. He paid personal attention to the specific shade I was looking for, did research on it, matched it to my skin tone, and gave me instructions on how to care for colored hair. I’ve since been twice more to dye my hair different shades and I’ve been happy with every one! Highly recommended.

This one has been long overdue but just wanted to give Jose a shout for being the best stylist I have come across in the Bay area. I really care about my hair a lot and after having tried a couple of good places in SF, this place has become my go-to after just 2 visits. He is respectful about sharing his own suggestions while also ensuring that the client gets the style they are looking for. Keep it up!!!
